MADOKA THEORIES

i’m going ape mode over the new trailer so here are some details i thought i’d go over:

-the half moon from the rebellion end credits scene!

-personal theory on sayaka’s outfit, i think she’s got her mouth wrapped up so that she doesn’t spill the beans on the law of cycles. doesn’t exactly make sense considering that she had her memory wiped but you never know. this could very well be an entirely different sayaka!

-the mysterious character that seems to be a fusion of madoka and homura’s characteristics. i heard someone on twitter say this could be the final clara doll, love, but due to it also using mami’s ribbon ability at one point in the trailer i can’t be sure. also, we see homura’s devil symbol in the background. not sure what that entails yet

-clara dolls!!!!! still in 2d after the ending of the last movie (tried to put a photo but it kept cropping wrong. huh)

if I think of anything else i’ll add more in later. also WHERE IS NAGISA????? PLEASE IM DESPERATE I NEED MY SWEET SUMMER CHILD

funny little idea dump

I haven’t really been following TNBC stuff for a while, due in part to my focus on Villainous/Batman, but also because the LLTPQ book hurt my heart so bad I had to take a break.

so, I heard this book is getting a sequel. Instantly my brain goes AAAUUUGHHH. but then I see Disney switched authors? specifically, the author that wrote the recent novelization. now I personally haven’t read the movie novelization, but hearing that it contains lore from Oogie’s Revenge made me INCREDIBLY HAPPY (i personally believe it’s the best Nightmare sequel out of all of them.). my hopes are (albeit very slightly) higher for the sequel now!

also, it got me thinking. apparently the novelization references jack being a human, but it also includes lore from the video game, where it implies he isn’t (specifically, he mentions having a guillotine like the one in the town square as a kid). not to mention the recent comic disproving the human theory as well. where am I going with this? it would seem (or im just projecting LOL) that all of the nightmare sequels appear to be different timelines. now, this could very well just be inconsistency with lore on Disney’s part, but honestly, having them all be AUs makes me feel IMMENSELY better. that way, people can choose which very of the continued story they prefer the most. (PS2 FOR ME BAYBEYYYYY).

in conclusion, my hopes for the sequel have been mildly redeemed, and I hope more lore from the video game continues to be implemented in the future.
