when you're the 'detective prince', plenty of people call you 'interesting', after all. naoto turns her attention towards her conversation partner to get a good look at them. they're wearing the junes uniform, so it was easy to assume they worked here. and yet, this was the first time naoto was seeing them, despite coming to junes fairly often. a new hire, perhaps? or one that likes to avoid the crowds, based on their body language.
❝ forgive me, am i in your way? i was simply admiring your selection of televisions. ❞
of course, there was another reason for her standing in the electronics section, but that was on a need-to-know basis, and this employee didn't need to know.

“Ack!” She jumped at the sudden voice beside her and almost dropped her phone. “N-Naoto-kun?! When did you get here?! And why are you reading my texts?!”
In any case, she deserved an explanation for this. “Umm, well… about that. You’re smart and probably have a computer or something, soo… maybe you could wear this? If you want to!” Nervous laughter came from the Chariot.

why was that one of the qualifications? if that was all it took to wear something that tacky, then practically everyone would be wearing nonsense like that all the time...

yosuke had come to visit naoto at her home, for reasons currently unknown to her, and as he walked into the girl's room, he was treated to the sight of blankets strewn about, pillows half on the bed and half on the floor, and plenty of papers and folders littering the ground.

“So would you like to explain… this?”
“The thing… yes this thing. The thing of which I’m not stalling about.”
“What is that?”
“Uhhh hi, how are you? In this current point and time?”
“Doing alright, you know… meh and all that.”
“If you don’t want to talk about it, fine, but something should be done about it.”
“I heard something…”
“Alright well that was ominous and disconcerting.”
“Do you ever feel like we’re just existing?”
“Could you get off?”
“Hmmm… no I don’t want to do that.”
“We starting today with a game of twenty questions?”
“That’s a face you’re making. I don’t know what it’s called but you’re making it.”
“Saw that. Can’t hide that from me.”
“That could mean literally anything. Can I buy an adjective or something?”
“I don’t have the words to describe what this is but you’ll know when you see it.”
“All you got was unpleasant and was most likely the obvious problem in the room?
“Well that’s it, we’re lost.”

“Just… shh it’s a thing with… another thing on it… it’s yellow… I think.”
