The shock hit Hans hard, and as he staggered home afterwards, he was left struggling how to actually break the news to Anna without being so blunt about it. Any courage he had to gently tell her the truth instantly shattered once she started talking about her dreams and desires. She just seemed so happy then… he couldn’t bring himself to ruin her mood.
So he did the only thing he could think of. For the first time since that disastrous moment in Arendelle’s castle library four years ago, he told a lie.
His only reason for fibbing was knowing it was just a simple delay for the inevitable. He wouldn’t keep the truth from her forever, just long enough for more time to figure out what to say. A day at best. If only staring up at the ceiling for most of the night helped him actually come up with the right words. Instead, everything was just an exhausted jumble.
His brain screamed at him to just be honest. Get it over with.
His heart, however….

FROZEN: Hans reactions and realizations tell a whole story on their own about who he is as a person
All the Disney Villains always had some power and control for themselves before the events of the movie, but always wanted more, or had a specific goal they were purchasing ... Hans seems more the kind of guy that never had anything before he got to Arendelle, and then had a true chance to archive something even greater than he expected.
And I'm basing myself entirely on these scenes, no external material involved in this personal thought.
He worries like everybody else does, he can get scared, surprised, angry, confused and annoyed. He doesn't pull an evil smirk if not in the final moments, when he's truely in control of things, when everything is finally getting right for him.
Jennifer Lee description of Hans is far more understanding of his behavior compared to the angry mob of fans always ready to treat him as some sort of "monstrous devil":
Hans is a tragic figure because he's a consequence of being raised without love.
This seems more like the genesis of a Villain, and what's the best part? He never got there because he was stopped before that! Just like Anna saved her sister instead of herself, just like Elsa thawed Arendelle only when she undestood that love was the key, and just like Kristoff wasn't able to save Anna himself, Hans is litteraly just another main character defined by the situation.

What do you think of Lars (hans' 3rd oldest brother and nicest one) and Lottie (Tiana bestfriend) as a couple?
Prince Lars of the Southern Isles, the third eldest of Hans' older brothers and the only one of the lot that was decent to him. Charlotte "Lottie" La Bouff, best friend of Tiana, who gave up her own chance of becoming royalty for her friend's happiness.
Looks like Lottie finally got to marry her prince, then.
Lottie is the only child of Eli La Bouff, and only had him for company her whole life; I assume her mother is dead. All she had were her father and her best friend Tiana.
Lars is the third of thirteen sons; a prince, obviously. The impression I got from A Frozen Heart is that the Southern Isles were not a very prosperous kingdom.
So his father would have been in favor of the match. Lottie is a rich girl, after all.
And Lottie would have been thrilled to finally be part of a large family. Eleven brothers- and sisters-in-law! (She only met Hans later.) With accompanying nieces and nephews! How much better can it get?
Except she didn't know what Lars' brothers and father were like. I get the feeling that they were unpleasant people in general, not just to Hans. The king of the Southern Isle and his oldest son Caleb pretty much ignore their wives all the time, for instance. And considering that the king considered Hans weak simply for being the youngest, and tacitly approved of his other sons' treatment of him...
Hopefully Lars forewarned Lottie that his brothers could be pretty nasty sometimes.
Maybe Lars decided to live in New Orleans in the La Bouff house. Usually the bride goes to the husband's family, but the La Bouff mansion is pretty big, and Lars is only the third son. He won't be needed to take over the throne unless there's a plague or something.
Maybe they could just move to Maldonia.
By the way, how did Lars and Lottie meet and decide to marry? Well, Lottie was probably ready to get married right after Lars introduced himself as "Prince Lars," but what did he think of it?
Also, you know the theory that Prince Hans is Dizzy Tremaine's father? Imagine her and Celia meeting Lars and Lottie!

A view of Hans that I just can’t see…
I think I already saw it in some fanfic hans being this emotionally instable impatient young men with mood swing. Too me that’s not hans at all the duke yes but not hans. And I m not even basing myself on bonus product but the movie itself. I get why people must see him like it because of the « twist » but…even when he betray Anna he smirked he mocked her but he is still this very patient calm kind of person. And with his 12 annoying brothers and father it makes sense for him to know how to stay patient and calm in every situations. 🤔🤓
