I think I read on the wiki timeline that the Season 3 finale for FTWD wasn't even on the same day as the Season 1 finale of TWD, it was actually the DAY Rick woke up in the hospital, which is just so wild to me!

sometimes I find insane that the dam explosion in the third ftwd’s finale and the CDC explosion in twd happen on the same day.

the characters in ftwd were already so deep in the apocalypse while the twd group barely knew what was going on. I can’t even imagine someone from season 1 of twd in ftwd season 3 tbh, even if they are set around the same time.
