Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 9

Yeesh, things have been too busy for me this year.  Sorry for not keeping this blog updated, but you guys know what’s going on anyway.  This bracket has not been good for us at all so far.  Hopefully that’ll change soon!

Opponent: Darigan Citadel

Darigan’s just one place above us, so this could be our chance to get some wins in.  Everyone play your hardest!

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 3

Whoops, forgot to post an update yesterday!  Anyway, good job team!  We beat Virtupets in all but YYB and tied with Faerieland!  Seeing other teams sweep is a bit disheartening(especially with Kiko Lake’s overwhelming victories...hmm, I wonder why that could be), but I think we’re still on the road to do pretty good this year!  On to the next match!

Opponent: Altador

Seems like Timu’s old team hasn’t really been faring well in the cup.  Let’s not slack off, though- we’ve still got to do the best we can to succeed!  Everyone do their best today!

Altador Cup X- Team Shenkuu- Day 1

Welcome, everyone, to Altador Cup X!  With the acquisition of Neopets by JumpStart, I know I wasn’t the only one who thought the AC’s future was uncertain.  Luckily, though, it’s back and so is Team Shenkuu!  I really didn’t want them to change this year, so I’m glad we’ve got the same team members.  With that, on to the first day!

Opponent: Virtupets

Since it’s the first day, I can’t really give an update on how VP’s been doing this year, but they didn’t do too great last year.  Let’s still do the best we can this year!

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 26

Ugh, been pretty busy lately, so I haven't had too much time for AC stuff, including this blog. :T But anyway, final bracket now, and we're...not off to a good start.  We got swept by Tyrannia yesterday, and now things aren't looking too much better.

Opponent: Krawk Island

You know what I've noticed?  We haven't won a single round of Yooyuball this year.  Can we try to get in at least one before Cup's end?  I think that'd be at least something.  I'm not saying to just try to win YYB, of course- go for everything as much as you can!  I'm just saying that'd be nice.

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 21

My apologies for no report yesterday, but wow...we're not doing too bad so far!  After beating Maraqua in all but Yooyuball, we did the same to Kiko Lake yesterday!  This hasn't moved us up in the bracket, which I'm not too happy about, but if we keep this up then it may just happen yet!

Opponent: Darigan Citadel

DC's kept in the upper half of every bracket they've been in so far, so they're probably gonna be a tough one to beat.  But we can still manage to endure if we work at it.  Let's give it our all once again!

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 19

We did not do well at all in the past few days.  We played Terror Mountain twice and Kreludor once and never won a majority of games a day.  We even got swept by TM.  At least we held in fifth place, though.  I feel like if we manage to turn things around in this bracket, we can at least tie our standing from last year.  Nothing much to do but hope for the best.

Opponent: Maraqua

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 14

Well, at least we were able to get one win in there.  The three losses aren't great, of course, but at least it's something.

Opponent: Moltara

Well, this is a dreadful matchup.  Any other year before this one and we wouldn't have had to worry about Moltara at all, but this year they've absolutely dominated every bracket they've been in.  I'm tempted to call shenanigans on TNT's part, but that wouldn't get me anywhere.  Let's just give it our all and try to get at least one win in again.

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 13

Alright, new bracket time!  Hopefully we'll have better luck with this one than the ones before it.  I'd really like us to do at least as well as last year, if not better, though it's gonna be tough now.

Opponent: Mystery Island

Mystery Island's been doing a bit better than us this year, so they'll be a good challenge for today.  Plus if we win, we could pull ahead of them in the bracket.  There's no particular event they've excelled in, so let's just do everything we can in every game.  Good luck!

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 12

Well, this isn't working out.  We stayed at the bottom and got swept by the top.  I can't say I'm surprised...but it's still upsetting.  No real way we can come back except from working our hardest and making sure every Shenkuu supporter we know does the same.

Opponent: Practice Team

Welp, you all know what to do.  Just take today to work on your techniques for the game, maybe play some of one you don't play as often, stuff like that.  Whether or not it's too late for us to win, we still have to do the best we can.  There's been talk about the team starting from scratch, whether that means a whole new team lineup or a few trades/swaps, but if we don't want it to happen- and I know you all love the team we have now, come on- we've got to give it our all.

I just wish messages like this this could get out to the ones who weren't supporting the team as much...

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 11

Good news and bad news for us, of course.  The good news is we won yesterday, with two wins, a loss, and a draw.  So that's pretty good.  The bad news, we still ended up getting knocked down in the bracket.  Like I said, it could've changed at any time.

Oh, and there's a bit of worse news too...

Opponent: Haunted Woods

We're going up against the bracket leaders today.  Do things look good for us?  Of course not.  Can we still pull it off?  Yes, if everyone reading this works hard and gets their fellow Shenkuu supporters to do the same.  Let's give it our best shot!

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 10

Well, drat.  Missed a day of coverage again, and we got swept by Darigan Citadel.  I wouldn't say top 3 is out of the question...but we're definitely going to have to work at it hard starting now if we want to get to the top.  Do everything you can no matter who we're up against!

Opponent: Lost Desert

They may be below us in the bracket, but that could change at any time.  Like I said- everything you can no matter the opponent.  Let's go for it!

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 8

Sorry for not taking a bit of time to just report on the happenings for the past couple days.  Some unexpected stuff has happened and all, so I was pretty busy.  Anyway, our match against Meridell ended with one win, a draw, and two losses, and we had to practice that day.  Then yesterday, at the start of the new bracket, we squared off against Tyrannia, whom we got sweeped by, sadly.  We've gotta pull up in the ranks if we want to have a shot at the cup!  Surely we can all work hard enough to help get that done, right?

Opponent: Krawk Island

KI hasn't quite been doing as well as they've done in the past this year, evidently, but we haven't exactly been doing better given the teams we've been going against.  I'd still advise everyone to work as hard toward beating them this year as we would have any other.  I'm sure we can get it done!

Altador Cup- Team Shenkuu- Day 5

My apologies, all- I was absent yesterday and was unable to give a report.  Regardless, we swept Altador two days in a row!  Not bad at all, but we're still lagging behind in 4th place in the bracket.  We've really gotta start pulling ahead!

Opponent: Meridell

These guys are a position ahead of us, so this may be our chance to pull ahead.  Let's not let it pass us by!  Get out there and do your best for the team!

Well, looks like we were the ones doing the sweeping this time!  Great work, teammates.  Here's hoping today will turn out just as great!

We should definitely put more effort into Slushie Slinger today, because of the bonus.  They'll probably be doing it too anyway.  Good luck fellow Shenkuu fans!

Ouch.  Swept on day 1.  Not a great start, but it's not too late for us to get back on our feet!  Let's keep going and do our best!

Opponent: Faerieland

Well, FL swept Altador yesterday, but they're still ranked lower than us.  We'll just have to focus on everything as much as we can again.  Let's go for it!

And so another Cup is underway!  Before last year we probably wouldn't have had to worry about this matchup too much, but last year Virtupets rocketed all the way up to 6th place- six places higher than their previous best!  It's day 1, so we don't know how they're managing yet, so there's not much for us to do except give it our all and hope for the best!  Good luck all!
