Might make a new tumblr account. I have only passing interest in FR anymore and this has long since not been a flightrising blog. I'm not a fandom type person so I'm not surprised. I've almost always been someone who enjoys things in their own corner.

Part of me just hates it here and hates how hard it can be to remember that tumblr and the people on it absolutely do not represent most people online or in the world as far as weird takes and skewed priorities go. But I also do really like some of the people that I've followed or been mutuals with @arandomshotinthedark you are so damn reliable for advice and I have nothing but endless admiration for you. I wish I weren't so bad at just talking to people. Like you, Pardra, Denurising, and Haranarei were some of the only people who actually made me keep tumblr for a loooong while, especially in my really low phase because you guys were always so nice but I was too shy to reach out on my own. And @pumpkin-bread I know most of our interactions are me buying and obsessing over your dragons, but seriously you've always come off as so sweet and have repeatedly inspired me to continue playing FR. I hope life treats you well.

But yeah, I'm torn. Maybe I'll make a new tumblr more for my art and writing, and do some more sharing of other things I like. Might still follow some flightrising things, but I think I'm ready to do some moving on.

Also I can finally stop getting notifications for that one post I made that now has almost 100k reblogs. Yes. Yes, I do know I used a thick red outline to circle the thing about dragon neopets when there was funnier stuff on the list... I made the post FOR dragon neopets. Please people, stop messaging me about it TT_TT

One of my friends over the years has consistently had this habit of getting so into certain media that it makes me not like it, even if I liked it before.

For example, when Durarara first came out as an anime, I loved it. I told her about it and she eventually watched it and became obsessed. Everything she did or said had to do with Durarara and eventually I started to get so tired of hearing about it that when the anime continued, I wanted nothing to do with it.

It's been a while since then and she's moved on enough that she doesnt even remember that I even watched the show first.

I dont want to be upset with her for enjoying herself, but damn it's hard to say that I DO NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT OR CARE ABOUT NARUTO anymore without having to explain why I stopped enjoying it. Currently I feel like our conversations are so oversaturated with it that I dont even feel nostalgia for an anime that was a huge part of my teen years.

I'm not saying she has to stop enjoying things she enjoys, but I want to stop losing enjoyment for things I like because us liking the same thing leads to it being the only thing that's ever talked about anymore 50 percent of the time.

I never had an issue with Skillshare and you can take my audiobooks out of my cold, dead hands but Hello Fresh... hoo boy...

If you never want to cancel, then I'm sure it's fine, but they A) make it so hard to cancel and then B) May resubscribe you. Which may not be a thing a youtuber would experience when using the product because you have to try and cancel to have this experience. Heck, I was recommended by my cousin who I LIVED WITH to get a subscription when I moved out.

My roommate wanted to try it so I subscribed. The food was good, but I was never home to cook 40+ minute meals and my roommate started throwing a fit over being the only one to cook them. I tried to cancel on my phone real quick... nope. Not possible. I opened up the browser website and it did that shitty thing where you get a few new pages of it stalling and being like, "Are you sure?" "Wait. Are you really, reaaallyyyy sure?" Before ever cancelling.

Next day we got the notification that our shipment was on the way and we had been charged. So I went to their customer service who apologized, stopped the shipment, cancelled our subscription, and refunded the charge. We checked to make sure we had been refunded and cancelled. Good. Great.

Till a week later when we got the food and saw we had been refunded... and then charged again. I had been resubscribed. My roommate, who had been paying, stopped her card and got a new one and I cancelled the subscription again.

Idk if I got resubscribed again because the card they had was no longer working, but I have no intention of using that service again, even if the food was good.

And again, this was a youtuber thing, my family member suggested it. I had tried it and liked it while living with her. I had no personal issue until this point.

It isnt a youtube issue, you should always research a product or service before buying to get the full picture from different experiences. Even the best intentioned youtuber may make a bad call just like anyone else.

I need advice...

So, my friend's grandma passed recently. She says she isnt so much sad about it, but still feels weird since it's her last grandma. Apparently her grandma was never very nice so they didnt have a relationship.

My friend is also trying to get a new apartment because her current one has a roach infestation and her roommates arent doing much to help.

She took mourning time off from work and they told her that it would be covered, and then a different person said it wouldnt. Now she's decided to make a gofundme and wants me to share the link... but is it bad of me to want to say no?

I've been in a serious financial crisis for the past half year. I'm working two jobs because my first wont give me hours to live above the poverty line and one is at a place that is absolutely horrible for my mental health. I had to ask friends to help me eat for a couple days because I had no food. I narrowly avoided homelessness because my cousin helped me get a new apartment. But hey, first of the month rolled around and I have yet to get paid so I'm here stressing and hiding from the building manager. Because I just started a second job, I should be on the upswing given a little time to have a few paychecks... but it still feels kinda not okay to ask your struggling friend to share a link to help you get money to me. I know the option is available, and I just dont want to beg internet strangers for help, but still... I also dont want to ask internet strangers to help my friend either for the same reason. If it was a medical thing or something more serious, then maybe, and I'm not looking to admonish her for making a gofundme. I just dont like that I've been put in this position.

Annie and John’s medieval Welsh home has had an interesting past. Built in 1402, it’s believed to have been used as a hunting lodge for King Henry IV.

The blackened carved oak stool was picked up from a local antiques shop. The cabinet is early c1700s, bought from an antiques shop and the wooden Georgian peacock was found at an antiques warehouse.

Their furnishings are exquisite- The studded leather chest is Spanish, c1700. Decorated with hunting scenes it was used for storing saddles and bridles.

The 15th-century aged oak paneling divides the dining and sitting rooms. The embossed leather backed dining chair is Edwardian and came from an antiques fair.

The Georgian plate rack in the dining room came from an antiques shop and they found the refectory table, c1600 in a nearby town.

All the kitchen units were sourced from an antiques shop. John then assembled them to fit the space.

A collection of traditional wooden spoons is displayed in a 20th-century rack.

The wide upstairs landing feels like a room in its own right and is furnished with a sofa and chairs for guests.

An elaborate, quirky early 20th-century gilded pendant lamp found at a car boot sale hangs just above the fireplace in the guest bedroom.

The guest bedroom is built within the eves of the house.

The couple bought the 17th-century chest in the main bd. from a dealer who was about to strip it and remove the lovely patina.

The flocked wallpaper in the bathroom is Raven Disney Villains and the sink and roll-top bath are both from the Victorian Plumbing Co.

Annie found the Coco Chanel glazed cabinet in a bric-a-brac shop.

The little Flemish cabinet was a present from Annie’s sister and underneath are two Felix the Cat perfume bottles bought locally at a car boot sale. That Disney wallpaper is very cool.

Fuck the Byler ship. Mike is still halfway through learning to be a decent boyfriend (when not in crisis) to a girl, and one who is untouched by social expectation and literally just wants him to sign his letters "Love Mike". And it takes so much effort on his part to give El what he does have to give he ignores his friends. If they suddenly pivot and make Byler end game I'll be pissed. Not because I'm married to the Mike/Eleven thing they've been doing for 4 seasons (though honestly a last minute switch after his whole "I knew I loved you since I saw you" thing would be dumb), but because Will can do better.

Also, no, Will shouldnt willingly join Vecna. Will is better than that too. "Wah, the guy I like didnt notice me or want me, i'm gonna join the bad guys" is a used up plot for straight people and evil gay because nobody understood them is a used up plot for gay people. Besides, with Will's characterization, it would make more sense for him to sacrifice himself killing the Mind Flayer and that too is a used up plot.

Literally just give Will a good guy to fall in love with and dont kill either of them off. Robin is getting her girl from a character we just met, Will can get his and then Mike's shitty friendship can be redeemed by him being super supportive and happy for Will.

This post is me acknowelging that some people go onto tumblr to escape the real world and to soothe themselves after stressful experiences, so if they block or ignore social justice and news stories so that their decompression isn’t interrupted with yet more stress, it is not only no one’s business but it makes perfect sense.

So... years ago I was homeless and had to give my uncle my dog (which he really wanted). My uncle is dying and I was given an ultimatum in spite of the fact I need to be out of my apartment next week and I'm still ironing out my new apartment situation. My job wont give me more than 48 hours a month and I dont know why. I'm trying to cash in some bonds my grandma got me when she died, but that is becoming a headache. I dont even know if my new apartment allows dogs like that.

I am very overwhelmed.
