"hey, babe", vernon says with a sleepy voice. "is everything okay?"

"yeah...", you murmur on the other side of the line. "i just... i wasn't feeling well... i don't know".

vernon hums, still lying on his bed. "you wanna talk about it?"

his voice is muffled by a yawn, and your heart breaks. he must be so tired, what are you doing?

"no. you should go back to sleep, nevermind, i'm sorry i called you".

"hey, it's okay".

you don't see, but vernon gets up on his elbow in bed, hair pointed everywhere, face swollen from sleeping. he doesn't care that he's awake now. you're what matters to him.

"talk to me", vernon says in the lowest voice he can manage.

it's 2:37am. you shouldn't talk, you should be sleeping. vernon should be sleeping. still, you open your mouth with an "i don't know..." - and suddenly, it's only you and vernon, talking into the night.

"oh- no, he's working. just let him be";

"woozi hyung is busy~";

"ya, don't go in there! he wanted to be alone while creating";

those are the most common things to hear from the members as a new comeback approach. woozi, as their main producer, is always so busy and so focused on creating that the members themselves tend not to mess with him, only dragging him out to eat and take a shower. he doesn't speak to anyone, he always asks to be left alone.

but that doesn't apply to you.

soonyoung has this little grin on his face as he sees you walking into woozi's studio, knowing damn well his friend could never kick you out.

and woozi doesn't kick you out. actually, he welcomes you with open arms (and tired eyes), asking how your day has been (and yawning while you talk). he's tired, he's worried about the deadlines and line distributions, but he feels at ease when you sit right beside him and place a hand on his chest.

"did you eat?", you ask.

"soonyoung just brought me some homemade meal from his mom", woozi says, staring at you.

"then you should nap".

"i don't want to", he shakes his head. "just let me be with you for a while, talk to you".

you hum, caressing his chest. he takes your hand, his lips curled into an "i'm in love" type of smile. woozi kisses your fingers before turning back to his software, telling you to check out what he has been working on.

woozi doesn't leave his studio to go home, but he's glad that you bring home to him.

"what's gotten into you?", you breathlessly ask, as vernon flips you over in his bed once again.

he smirks, laying on top of you to bury his face on your neck. the way his lips trace your skin it's almost sinful.

"just need you", vernon says, breathing in your scent. "need your body."

and he truly does, so you let him.

you let vernon touch you, fingers working painfully slow on you as you gasp and ask him to, please, do something else.

you let vernon rest his head on your chest, enamored by your form and the way you arch your back when his fingers and mouth touch your nipples.

you let vernon have his way with you, his sweaty forehead resting on your shoulder as he groans like it's hurting, the way you're gripping him and the way he can feel all of you.

you let vernon reach his high and lay down beside you, arm resting on top of you as he mumbles sweet nothings to you.

"i love you";

"you're so good";

"you're the one for me".

COLLABORATION WITH @kozukensgf 🎀

suggested by anon, i wrote these drabbles and the amazing hazel wrote the texts. read these first, and then the texts. (:

texts with svt (morning after ver) can be found here.

seungcheol is too soft for his own good. whether he has feelings for you or not, he's the type to stay around for a bit and wait until you wake up so he can say goodbye properly. will probably decline your offer of breakfast though (politely, of course).

jeonghan likes to watch you sleep, so of course he stays around too. if he's not that busy, he will also wait until you're awake to leave - but differently from cheol, he will accept your offer to eat first. now, if he has schedules that day, he'll be out the door as soon as you open your eyes.

joshua is a cutie, so he stays too. he actually wakes up after you, chasing after the sounds you're making around the house. he will be the one to offer to make breakfast or take you out to eat. it doesn't matter if he has feelings for you or not, he considers you a friend? so of course he'll treat you right (the sex is just a plus).

junhui feels kinda awkward once he wakes up. he knows he doesn't like you enough to have romantic feelings for you, so the intimacy of seeing you sleep or taking a shower with you is too overwhelming. he leaves before you wake up, but makes sure to leave a little something for you before he does.

hoshi is a heavy sleeper after sex, so chances are you'll wake up first. he's more than happy to see you still beside him scrolling through your phone as soon as he wakes up. he's the type to run his mouth about anything and everything, bonding with you beyond your steamy times. he's such a darling, he just wants you to be comfortable around him.

wonwoo is quiet, the morning after. he isn't sure if he likes you like that, but he does like your company, your body, the way you make him feel... so it always hits him, after he has sex with you, that he should figure his feelings out. he stays with you for breakfast too, grateful for the way mornings are usually quiet around you. he leaves with a heavy heart before lunch though, but knowing damn well he'll come back to your bed soon.

there's no morning after with woozi, as he leaves in the middle of the night, both because he can't sleep and he doesn't know how to deal with the "aftwards", especially if he doesn't love you. he's not an asshole though, so he texts you an apology when he knows you're awake and tells you that it was fun seeing you again, and that you should definitely go visit him on his studio sometime.

dokeyom is similar to hoshi, i think. he just wants you to be comfortable around him, so he's just his sunshine form when he's around you the morning after. he also stays, for as long as he can/you will have him, but always tell you "hey, i can go whenever you want" - no, dokyeom, you can't. you want to stay. you know you do.

mingyu is the type to wake up earlier than you, take a shower (because of course he already feels at home with you), and then proceed to make you something to eat. he shyly smiles when you come find him in your kitchen. even though the relationship he has with you is mainly sexual, his mom didn't raise a player - so he'll pay you back for having him on your bed somehow.

minghao stays with you. there's this spoken thing between the two of you, where you're not truly fwb but also you're not mere acquaintances - so he's comfortable enough to sleep next to you, but draws the line when it comes to breakfast together. he's out the door as soon as he has taken a shower (alone, of course).

seungkwan leaves as soon as he wakes up, not because he wants to, but because he's most likely late for something. he definitely texts you later, thanking you for the night and promising to see you soon. might also send something to your house, like your favorite dessert or something, since he couldn't stay as he usually does.

vernon doesn't stay. if he doesn't have feelings for you he's more than grateful that you let him have his way with you and always make sure to not be a player, and that includes leaving (it's not right after though, he takes his time to calm down and if you are already asleep by the time he decides to leave, he wakes you up. he will never leave without telling you so).

dino stays because he wants to be with you. i can't see this sweet boy not falling in love or getting obsessed with you, so deal with it. will crack jokes just to see you smile in the morning, and already knows how you like your coffee/tea. his smile falters when you tell him you have plans for the day, a polite way to tell him he can't stay for too long.

quiet morning with soonyoung, where he just stares into nothing with his glass of juice in front of him, waiting for you to finish the food. his face is swollen from sleeping too much, and his bright, blonde hair is kind of pointing at everywhere.

"you look like a toddler", you tell him, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"i feel like one", he says. "i wanna watch cartoon all day."

"i'll grab your favorite blanket then", you tease him, putting a plate full of food in front of him.

soonyoung smiles brightly at you, eyes closing in the process.

"the blue one, please", and then he grabs the food and makes his way to the couch.

heads up! babysitting adventures. food mentions.

you're making dinner when you start to hear something go down. vernon's sitting on the floor with your niece, who's very determined to take advantage of the fact that it's both friday and her parents aren't here.

"if you let me stay up until midnight," she raises a finger in the air. "i'll show you where mama hides the fruit snacks."

vernon gives a long hum, as if he's actually debating the deal. for a moment, you think maybe you should have brought seungkwan instead of your boyfriend. he doesn't need to sound so legit right now. "i dunno... i have a car. i could just go buy my own fruit snacks."

"but they're forbidden snacks." she puffs out her lil cheeks at him. "papa says that makes them better when he gives me some after mama said i shouldn't have anymore."

vernon's nodding along. "ah. the forbidden snacks. i get it." he lowers his voice into a stage whisper, as if you're not supposed to hear this secret, "they steal my snacks all the time."

your niece lets out the loudest gasp, already turned against you so easily. "they do?!" when you glance over, she's straight up glaring at you, and vernon's giggling and he gets her to turn around before you 'catch on.'

"they do." he gives them the most serious nod. "but i dunno... are they really that good to stay up past your bedtime?" when your niece gives him a equally serious nod, lips pressed together into the most serious face she can muster, vernon just crosses his arms. "okay. new deal... you've gotta give them your best puppy dog eyes," he nods toward you, "so that we can all go out for ice cream instead. you still gotta go to bed at ten, though."

immediately, her mind is blown. she never considered the fact that ice cream could be on the table with you two here. while the two continue to whisper, making a game plan, you already reach for your phone to get her parents' permission to spoil her more than you already do. with both her and vernon teaming up... there's no real way you can say no.

a few moments later, you feel a tug on your shirt and you turn to see your niece next to you. she looks back at vernon, who's half-hidden behind the edge of the counters, as if he's going to get away with something. he gestures for her to speak, and she does when she turns to you. "can we pleaaaaaase get ice cream after dinner?" she pauses. "i'll--i'll eat my veggies and everything! and uncle vernon will, too!" she points back at him. "he promised!"

you glance at him while you agree (with permission and the power of puppy dog eyes, you have no ability to say no) and vernon's shooting you a cocky grin. told you i'd have your back.

FIRST DATE (VERNON'S VERSION)

first of all, he was nervous about asking you out. it was probably months of pining over you, planning things out, and just waiting for the perfect opportunity to ask

when he finally did, it was more like, "Hey...would...date...with...me"

picks you up from your house, with flowers, and opens the door for you so politely that you almost get the impression that he's acting strange

the two of you would probably go and see a movie for your first date and grab some popcorn before the movie starts

after finishing your popcorn before the movie even starts, you'll have to run back to buy some more

vernon doesn't pay you much attention he is way too absorbed in the movie for his own good

if you go to the bathroom during the interval, he buys you more snacks, so you can't argue or try to split the bill.

has a lot of thoughts about the movie so far so, tells you everything he's come up with

you've come to the conclusion, that this guy is a complete nerd and writes half of his reviews during intervals so he doesn't miss anything

his ears turn so red when your hands brush against his while reaching for the popcorn

suggests grabbing a bite to eat at a nearby diner

he excitedly discusses the movie's themes, character development, and any easter eggs he noticed

is very interested in your thoughts about the movie

is so flustered when you compliment him that he accidentally spills your drink, apologizing profusely and offering to pay for a replacement

the conversations with him are really deep

he prefers to really get to know you, the real you, and answers all your questions very seriously

the conversations flow so effortlessly that you don’t even realize how much time has passed until the sun starts to set

internally takes notes of everything

what you're wearing, what he's wearing, the way you almost fall out of your seat laughing

'accidentally' links his pinky with you while walking back to the car

mhmm sounds right

he's driving you back home, almost pops out a ring when you play his favorite underground artist

tells you that he had so much fun and is down for another date

doesn't expect any kisses or anything

wonwoo getting up to turn off your laptop, which you two were using to watch some cartoon. he puts it on the floor beside your bed before laying down with you again and wrapping you in his arms.

"i'm sorry", he whispers once again, because wonwoo didn't like fighting with you and, even though you two were on good terms already and you said it was okay, he was still sorry.

wonwoo rests his lips on your shoulder, ready to close his eyes when you catch him off guard by saying "it's okay, wonwoo~".

"i thought you were asleep", he chuckles. his lips stay curled up on a soft grin when you grab one of his hands and caress it. "i am sorry, too".

"it's okay, y/n~", wonwoo mocks your tone with another chuckle, pulling you a bit closer before nuzzling into the back of your neck and closing his eyes to sleep.

you know what i don't see a lot of? the moments in a new relationship. finally acting on their crush and asking them out. first dates where you're getting to know each other. the first time they offer to pay or drive you home or ask to go on a walk because they're in the neighborhood and can't stop thinking about you. learning what things are important to someone. saving a moment from a casual conversation to act on or surprise them with later. i think it would be really cute to see some drabbles like that for the members 🥰

silently eating breakfast with dino after fighting the night before. your couch is a mess with the covers and pillows he used to sleep, as you both refused to sleep on the same bed.

the cereal in your bowl doesn't look that good, but dino devours the one on his. he steals some glances at you, from time to time, but is scared to talk to you - are you still upset at him? cause he knows he ain't upset at you anymore.

dino sighs out of relief when you ask him if he's finished and if he would like to talk (he very much does).
