Finished the book and I just want to say: Thank you Nora! This was better than anything I would have expected and conjured up myself. Thank you for saving Jean in the very last draft and putting this book out for us to learn not just his story, but also how much he cares for the people around him. I loved every tidbit where he showed his care and devotion in small actions such as reaching for the television to stop Riko from bashing Neil’s skull in. Writing notes for Neil and Kevin to look at after the play with the Ravens, so that they can see who bullied them from the Raven blackliners. Caring for Kevin, Neil and even Andrew, saying how he will be court. I am so happy to have got to know him personally and once again I thank you for writing this masterpiece 10 years after finishing the Series (10 years since I became part of this fandom!). I cannot wait to see Jean care for himself as much as he does for others!

It's official. I have finished The Sunshine Court. I have so many things to say and yet have no idea what to possibly say. It was perfect. It was absolutely perfect and heartbreaking and gut wrenching and an insane emotional roller coaster and everything i could possibly have asked for from Nora. Like she really truly delivered and i'm so fucking INSANELY grateful she has shared this story with us after all these years. We do not deserve her.

writing about neil josten is so hard because he’s such a multidimensional character. there you have a man who has no problem being a murderer but is terrified of being a monster. a man who finds others’ humanity interesting as a foreign concept and simultaneously crumbles at a kind touch. a man who made peace with death yet fights so violently to survive. a man who is still almost a kid even though he never really had a chance to be one. how am I supposed to accurately portray a man who’s been everywhere and seen everything yet still knows so little?
