i'm likely gonna miss sinday tomorrow because i'm travelling to scotland and back tomorrow so:
breina once mentally failed to realise someone's hair colour until she had them naked and could see their pubic hair, at which point, she said out loud "oh! you're a redhead". he shaved his head but otherwise grew facial hair and had like. eyebrows. it wasn't a secret he was ginger.

Isolfr snorted. "You have to know she's not going to let you go on your own anymore than you'll let her." Gods, he wished this storm would end. At least it sounded like it was maybe, possibly, hopefully starting to die down. A little. "Besides that, the reason I want her going is that I want her to keep a low profile. You're..." He paused, searching for a diplomatic phrasing. "A little conspicuous."
But there was more to it. He had no doubt that Sigrid could take on the Templars and win; she'd spent two-thirds of her life hiding her magic, learned to fight without it. She was a hell of a shot, and if it came to close quarters she was wicked with a knife. But Tore's magic had always been cherished, from the moment it first showed itself. He had never had to hide what he was. Isolfr wasn't entirely sure that he could, anymore than he himself could pretend to be other than he was, and even if he could, could he fight without magic if the Templars did whatever they did to steal mages' power? He made a show of knowing fuckall about magic because Tore's face when he did was consistently hilarious, but he'd picked up enough to know that the Chantry's soldiers were feared by mages throughout Thedas for good reason.
"Alright. Both of you go, and you watch each other's backs." Not that he needed to tell Tore that. "And you follow her lead. I want to know her take on the situation as much as yours." More, really, but there was no point in needling Tore's pride. It wouldn't even be funny.
"For no other reason than keeping peace with our neighbours, we should have a man there," Tore agreed. But the idea of sending Sigrid twisted his stomach with fear, and he felt Sigyn ripple in response to that fear. It was an unconscious agreement between the two of them, a pact formed in the moment of deliberation where both of them sought to protect Tore's wife, his happiness.
"I will go," replied Tore with a sense of finality to his tone. "If Sigrid does not agree that is, and I believe she won't, with good reason. And if she does agree, I will accompany her as her bodyguard. I am not afraid of the lowlanders and their Chantry." And, with over six foot to his height and a modestly built frame, most would not consider tangling with him regardless. It was easy for Templars to take the frail, the weak and the young, bullies they were. They would think twice before trying to subdue Tore of Skjeggestad. He was no warrior - but none had to know that.
