didnt come out Quite how i wanted but what ever. my 3rd spring break movie log (technically the time travelers is svengoolie tomorrow but we know we're watchin it)

hewwowww i shared this forever ago but im making a new post to share [my writing project] since i added a couple new stories recently
the idea behind it is just that im taking dreams ive had & turning them pretty much directly into (very very) short stories with as little alteration as possible. theyre super tiny, theres currently 8 stories & the whole document is only a smidge over 12 pages. my disclaimer is that im still working on cleaning them up (which is why its on a googledoc) so theyre not, like, super polished or anything
the overall tone is horror-ish & as of right now ill give warnings for death including child death, decay/gore, & terminal illness

additional thoughts as i think about it (& again, my advice is more geared toward the Messy & Improvised type of collages)
if it doesnt look finished maybe just add more shit until it does
sometimes you wont like the end result anyway but half the fun is just making something with your hands. this keeps me from going insane
be ok with things getting more covered up than intended as you go
if you intend to fill a journal with them be aware that it will get fat as fuck and become increasingly difficult to use. ive started using a wide ring binder & hole punching my pages once theyre done
if youre hole punching your pages be aware that some materials will make this so difficult. place them with caution
sometimes youll want to make a collage but filling an entire page will seem daunting. taking a tiny page & making a mini collage is fun
most of the ones i make have no particular purpose but potential Uses can include: reading/movie/etc logs, scrapbook to document memories, space for journal entries, homemade bookmarks, book/binder covers, cards, etc
using collage to make some kind of picture (as opposed to just a random assemblage of stuff that isnt meant to look like anything, which is what i usually do) is very challenging & i dont have much advice for it other than Take Your Time, but it can be fun & look really cool

personally my method is to just slap shit on there without thinking too much about it. sometimes i have a theme in mind when i start but its pretty much all improv for me & this creates a certain Messy vibe. if youre somebody who wants a Neater result then i have no idea馃槶馃槶馃槶 anyways my friend asked something similar recently & this was the advice i gave them:
use any shit
go through glue like your life depends on emptying that tube Yesterday
dont plan anything lest you grieve over the failure to adhere to it [<-note: this one may not apply if youre going for a cleaner & more deliberate style]
even if it has no aim or meaning at the time you will Definitely see what you meant when you look back on it in 5 months
junk mail is your best friend
go hog penis balls-out wild
it also helps to accumulate a fuckass load amount of crap to use. somebody else asked recently about materials & i gave them [a list] of some things i think are good to use
if u wanna ask about anything more specific feel free otherwise i think once u start ur style & methods will kinda start falling into place on their own
