This is interesting and helpful. I don't remember most of my childhood, and a good chunk of my young adulthood as well, just because my memory doesn't seem to work very well for that kind of thing. I'm interested by the notion that the memories could still be there, just difficult to recall.

So I finally watched JoJo Siwa's music video and to my confusion I actually kind of liked it. I know she's absurd saying she invented gay pop, but it's been a while since I saw something THIS gay in the mainstream. No vague overtones here!

I mean obviously the song isn't a groundbreaking triumph of subtle musical genius, but it is catchy.

In my 20s I listened to Radio 4. In my 30s I listened to Radio 2. Now I'm in my 40s I listen to young whippersnappers on livestreams discussing JoJo Siwa's makeup and the latest scandal on the Minecraft server.

I don't really know what's happening to me. Time is an illusion.

It's because they need to paint quickly. Impressionism is pretty much the only option when you want to capture the look and you don't have much time. It's like painter's shorthand.

Why is the courtroom sketch art style so beautiful. It's very gestural and expressive and stylized in a weirdly pleasing way. Simultaneously feels very real and tangible but strangely dreamlike. Very odd

I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.

I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."
