Another of my favorite dahlias is this one I got as a gift. At times this looks like it is a perfect waterlily - but here at the tail end of the summer it is more sedate and less serine.

A wee trip round the garden this weekend, light more bright and contrasty than I like - but I tried to make the most of it This Dahlia "Bishop of Llandaff" has been around since the 1920 and was one of My Granda and my Great Uncle Jim.
