Mimic Octopus: Mimic octopuses have been observed mimicking numerous different species of animals, some animals being mimicked more often than others. Among the animals mimicked are lionfish, sea snakes, jellyfish, and zebra sole. The octopus' mimicry of flatfish may be its preferred guise. Not only does the mimic octopus use its ability to defend itself from predators, but it also uses aggressive mimicry, to approach wary prey, for example mimicking a crab as an apparent mate, only to devour its deceived suitor
Downright chuffed about this oarfish bookmark I bought years ago in Japan and just rediscovered in my drawer. It’s made of shiny metal and the head crest is soft ribbon.
Grade book: ONE MILLION ASSIGNMENCE. If NOT DONE IN TWENTY!!!!FOUR MINUTES YOU WILL DEATH,
Me: Mm I see (closes my eyes for the next seventy years as I imagine the beautiful wobbegong)
[Image IDs: three gifs of an Ornate Wobbegong swimming through the ocean, taken at different angles. The Wobbegong is a light brown shark with dark brown bands horizontal across it's body, and white spots covering it. It moves smoothly through the water, tail swishing behind it. End ID.]
These little red octopus are sea-ternly the masters of disguise, thanks to their ability to change color and texture to blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Check out those inkredible hiding skills!
NYEL superstructure (I don't think I introduced her yet, she's one of my OC's and she is somewhat important to the story ig.)
This was my first try at making pixelart like this.
Random Location
Overgrown Spires(Fanregion, I made it, and I don't have anything done with it yet except this art. I might use it in the story but I'm not sure)

And a redraw of the Supercell art.
this one is the most recent. It's way more accurate to what I envisioned originally.
No, I'm not making any of this into a mod for the game, saying this because someone already asked me about this. I do not have the skill or time to do something like this. Although the indea of this being somehow turned into a mod seems interesting. But its not happening : /
Sorry if my English seems unreadable today, I have not been getting enough sleep for the past few days, partially because 2 of my roommates started sleepwalking and talking in their sleep at the same time. And partially because I keep on having nightmares, so no sleep for meeeeee
marine biology is so scary because it’s such a small field. i was giving a talk on cetaceans and afterward a woman approached me with her husband and she said, “you did very well. [husband’s name] actually pioneered the research and published the first paper on that. We were very impressed by you.”
Which is such a scientific interpretation/public education win I will cherish forever but also for the rest of my life any time I give a talk I will be haunted by the knowledge that the world’s leading expert who literally discovered/invented the topic might be in the room,
which is like, the opposite of what you’re supposed to do for stage fright. In fact I never used to experience stage fright but now I will.
