It had been a bit of a long day. But the scarlet-haired woman was glad to have a brief moment of respite. She did love her job, of course. But that didn't make anything less hectic--especially at feeding time. But the dogs were certainly excitable. She  would be glad when they all found homes. Maybe she'd even adopt one herself. They were all sweethearts, really.

Her initial plan was to go straight home to a warm bath and, just maybe, a warm cup of tea. But plans are always susceptible to change and that's how she found herself standing right outside the door of one of Brieve's many cafes. She'd barely been paying attention, and yet, there she was. 

...It wasn't even like she could resist the strawberry cake displayed in the window. Almost taunting her. Just one slice couldn't hurt. 

...and yet, she had still gone and bought the whole thing. She pressed her lips together in a thin line, staring at the box in her hands. "...And just what am I going to do with it now?" There was no way she could eat it all herself before it went bad--even she knew she'd make herself sick.

Perhaps she could find someone to share it with. Cake was always better with company. But..it'd also be a shame if someone bumped into her and she dropped it..

I'M ALIVE. Class has been really draining lately, and I can't tell if it's because it's so damn boring or if I'm not getting enough sleep. But thankfully, all the praying and hoping paid off. Remy finally came home and my mom is flying up there on the 17th to stay with my sister and help out for like ten days. 

I'm not sure if I can get to replies tonight (after all, it was my three hour long math class) but I will try. I'm also super irritated because it seems like my Vaisravana muse is already dying. DX

Before I dive too far into replies and forget, I will say that we did get some good news today! They tested the baby again and the results came back negative, so she doesn't have the metabolic disorder. However, she's forgetting to breathe and they think it might back something to do with the bleeding she has in her brain. I don't know if that's treatable or not, but it's at least some news. My dad says it's kind of like sleep apnea which is what he has, so things are sort of looking up. 

Thank you for all your kind words and support. ;w; It really means a lot to me, and I'm sure my family feels the same way. Hopefully, little Remy will pull through and get better with time.
