a night out ✧ charles leclerc
summary: a candlelight dinner with charles on date night.
warnings: none just fluff, fem!reader
The flames of the candles flickered under the dim lighting, the orange hue flowing over the silverware that sat on the table. The restaurant was fancy, one you'd never been to before and one that Charles insisted you visited at least once on date night.
"Would you like to order?" you hadn't noticed when the waiter had come up to take your order, but he was gone as soon as he'd arrived. A flash of annoyance bubbled within you when you realised he hadn't taken your order, but looking at Charles you quickly realised he'd ordered for you.
The mischievous grin on his face behind the menu said everything.
"What's wrong, mon amour?"
"How come you ordered for me?" A subtle pout is set on your lips, although you don't really mean your annoyance and you know he knows because he smiles a sweet smile at you.
"Because, cherie, you are a creature of habit. You always order the same thing," he drops the menu on the table gently and reaches for your hand across the table. His fingers wrap around your own, intertwining and locking like puzzle pieces. He brings them to his lips and plants a featherlight kiss as he finishes speaking.
A puff of air leaves your lips with faux distress.
"What if I wanted to order something new this time?"
He laughs at this, and you gasp at him. He smiles again, a little brighter and a little bigger this time.
"Would you really have, mon amour?"
A beat of silence.
"No, but—"
"And so I ordered for you! I know what you like, and don't like mon ange. I'm more than capable of knowing what to order for my wife," he says. His tone is soft, and it doesn't disturb the calm atmosphere of the restaurant. You're sure that someone is watching the two of you, lovesick as you never break eye contact and hold all your love in your gaze.
You smile a shy smile at him. Even after all these years, him referring to you as his wife still makes you flustered. He notices and squeezes the hand he holds in his own, a form of reassurance signalling that he's here for you.
You squeeze back and lay a kiss on his hand like he had to yours. Charles watches you the entire time, and he swears that he falls a little more in love with you.

currently i write for — multiple f1 drivers, the marauders, grishaverse (tv show), top gun/top gun maverick, and im open to more !
WHAT I WRITE
im open to writing mostly anything like fluff and angst, but i absolutely will not write any smut since i am a minor.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
im always happy when someone sends in a request since it motivates me a lot more, but please keep in mind that i am busy and i have a life outside of this so i might be a bit slow to get to yours.
