noun plural noun : soulmates a person ideally suited to another as a close friend or romantic partner.

Both hands brushed up along Emilia’s chest, shoulders and neck, until they found the soft skin of her cheeks. She caressed Emilia’s face as their eyes remained locked and Emilia’s fingers curled, drawing a breathy moan from the dancer.

Elise dipped down and found Emilia’s lips with her own, then. The kiss was softer than the others they had shared that night, as if to drive home the point that, yes, Elise did want Emilia to take care of her one last time. Soft jazz beats filled the room, only broken up by the sharp clicking of heels against the marble floors of the entrance area. The doorbell had come as a surprise, since she had not been called from the main entrance to the hotel she was staying at. No matter, it could simply be another guest — someone who'd be in trouble, if that was the case.

She was both pleasantly surprised, and a little puzzled to see Evelynn standing in the door, then. Nevertheless, she stepped to the side and held her arm out, gesturing for Evelynn to enter the penthouse.

❝ Good evening, my dear. ❞ She said, watching her companion enter through the door, eyes never once able to leave her once they'd settled on her. Magnetic, the way Evelynn seemed to demand her attention at every turn.

@evelicious prayed : “ I don’t usually do these sorts of things , “ evelynn began , lifting a hand and snapping her fingers as a sign for her lackeys to follow . two suited men entered the room , one with an extravagant bouquet of flowers in hand & the other with a box of only the finest chocolates . “ but happy valentine’s day . “

Elise waited patiently for the gifts to be revealed, arms slowly crossing over her chest as she regarded first the flowers, then the chocolate, and then Evelynn herself. A tentative hum escaped past dark painted lips, before a subtle smile stretched their corners. Sure, many had tried to schedule dates with her on days like these but few had succeeded, ever. Today was no different — Elise would have been content to spend it by herself, and yet . . .

❝ Well, in that case, I am glad you decided to make an exception this time. Had I known you were planning on stopping by, I would have dressed for the occasion. ❞ A blatant lie. She was always dressed just right. A hand gestured to the sofa table, urging for the gifts to be carried there.

Her eyes darted towards the lackeys, then. One and then the other. ❝ Tell me, what are they still doing here? Be a darling and dismiss them so I can properly thank you for these, won't you? Then, tell me how exactly you managed to slip past all the security downstairs, assuming you did. ❞

Only once they were alone in the room did Elise's arms unfold and one hand settle on her own hip. She relaxed her posture a tad, sauntering over towards the other woman so that she could gently grasp Evelynn's waist with her free hand. Her thumb brushed against the fabric of her clothes there, as she leaned in to speak in a lower tone,

❝ Ah-ah-ah, ❞ Elise tutted, casting a skeptical glance towards the bottle of nail polish beneath Evelynn's hovering hand as her lips pursed together a tad. Only once said hand found the exact shade she desired did Elise give her hum of approval. Admittedly, it probably wasn't the easiest task in the world ━ her collection was made up of mostly black, greys, reds and plums, and navy blue tones. She owned no small number of shades of each color.

Presenting her hand and her newly filed nails, two short and three long, Elise simply waited for Evelynn to begin painting them with the dark plum she had picked out. It would compliment her outfit rather well, of course, the black was a given, but parts of her dress had a slight purple sheen that would go best with purplish details, such as the color of her nails.

Not to mention the amethyst that rested securely atop her breast on a silver pendant. She may have even put together her attire of the day based around this item.

❝ Your hands are remarkably steady, dear. Not a stroke out of place ━ were I to guess, I would assume you have done a fair bit of this over the years. ❞

Elise noted, though her attention shifted slightly towards the end of the last sentence, as she felt a tingle on her right shoulder leading up to her neck. Her free hand reached up to slowly guide the stray Anaya onto it. The spider, radiating magic to those with keen eyes and roughly the size of a tarantula, perched atop Elise's hand with beady eyes watching Evelynn.

Elise's own crimson gaze shifted between her companions in a slow manner, back and forth, before finally settling on Evelynn, as well.

Between the way she said it and the intensity of her eyes upon the other woman, it should be pretty clear who she was talking about.
