Can we revive the age old tradition of normalize being friends as it seems to me that in current times there is a wild rush for romance, love or sex - all three of which actually suffers from a very short life span unless you've mastered the art. Where's even that friendship in which you could literally cry on their shoulders and if the need be even rub your running nose there while you continue sobbing or the ones with whom you could crack your silliest jokes while they stand there dumbstruck and you continue laughing throughout your narration. At the core of deepest human need is that of a friend, in its most purest and pristine sense, someone in whom you could find comfort and solace, a little home and heaven. How sweet yet rare is such a one who asks for nothing but your companionship. Whatever be the higher goals like family, marriage or even eternal bonding - none of it will even be possible unless there's this deep friendship at the heart of it...
