TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION SITE WASTEWATER TREATMENT IN UK
Many construction sites involved in the building of infrastructure projects outside of urban areas do not have direct access to a main sewer for the on site toilet and catering facilities for workers. In these situations, large volumes of construction site wastewater are produced by the workers, and this construction site wastewater must be managed in a sustainable way that does not impact on the environment. Construction site Waste Water Treatment Construction is highly polluted with a high ammonia and BOD load.
Construction site wastewater is extremely variable
Construction sites are generally temporary, so building a fixed wastewater treatment plant is not considered. Worker numbers on site can fluctuate significantly from week to week. Welfare facilities for site staff including toilets, showers and catering facilities all results in significant amounts of construction site wastewater being produced each day. In the past this wastewater has often been collected in a storage tank or a cesspit and then emptied intermittently by a licensed waste company. However, this can result in significant operational costs for the construction company.
PROBLEM
In this situation the construction of a new motorway required a mobile decentralized construction site wastewater treatment plant that could be repositioned every few months. The system needed to have the capacity to clean extremely variable flows of construction site Wastewater Biological Treatment due to fluctuating staff numbers. Strict discharge standards of 20 milligrams per liter BOD, 30 milligrams per liter suspended solids and 20 milligrams per liter ammonia we’re required for the final effluent which was being discharged into the natural environment. the standard septic tank was unable to achieve these affluent values so a biological wastewater treatment plant was needed.
SOLUTION
ClearFox® modular containerized wastewater treatment system represented a perfect solution for this project. A containerized module could be placed on the back of a truck and repositioned every time the work camp relocated. The use of our fixed bed biological Mobile Wastewater Treatment treatment process meant that the system provided could handle highly variable flows and loads without issue. The system operated automatically with almost no input required from the customer. Wastewater was treated to the required standards and discharged into the environment in accordance with the Environment Agency license for the construction site. When construction of this motorway finished, the containerized system was transported to another construction site in the UK.

MOBILE WASTEWATER TREATMENT
Containerized, modular, mobile wastewater treatment systems offer a flexible solution for management of sewage from a range of applications. Mobile wastewater treatment systems can be used for both temporary and permanent wastewater treatment solutions. Containerized, decentralized sewage treatment systems can handle populations from 30 to 10,000 persons and can be designed to achieve any effluent standard required.
Sector
Tumblr media
Wastewater Treatment Construction and wastewater  sewage systems can be used in a very wide range of applications. They can be used for short term, mobile wastewater treatment where portable solutions are needed. But they can also be used for long term, fixed applications.
They are specifically suited to applications such as:
Refugee camps Military camps Worker camps or mining camps Oil and gas drilling sites Construction sites
Currently, mobile wastewater treatment is faced with new challenges. Increased demands on sanitary equipment and the protection of health and the environment require solutions for wastewater treatment at refugee camps and military camps as well as for construction sites, oil fields and mining camps.
Every application requires a problem-oriented, case-specific approach. Some of the sewage treatment plants have to be available in a short time, they have to be mobile and pre-assembled ready for use. They also need to be robust and easy to use.
All required effluent standards must be achieved and complied with. Depending on the local requirements, this ranges from discharge into watercourse, sea, to ground for irrigation or into the main sewer. In certain cases, drinking water production from sewage or wastewater reuse is also required.
Attention must be paid to climate conditions and spatial constraints and footprint. Our Wastewater Biological Treatment plant using treatment modules offers a quick and optimal solution for wastewater, sludge and water reuse.
Mobile/ Portable & Modular Container Design with CSC Certificate
All components are fully installed in ISO sea containers. The ClearFox® Wastewater Treatment Construction meet all safety requirements for international freight transport. They are marked according to ISO 6346 and verifiably suitable for transport on container ships.
This is evidenced by the certificate of the International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC). This results in considerable advantages for transportation. The sea containers are 100% insurable. The largely standardized and prepared procedure enables inexpensive transport. Customs clearance is also faster, which in many cases is time-limited.

Customised dairy wastewater treatment solutions from a trusted manufacturer
The following page gives a step by step guide on everything you need to know about dairy wastewater. From understanding your wastewater composition, to process selection, and finally, information on what specific points you must consider before you buy and install a wastewater treatment system for your dairy.
Each dairy is unique, producing different products and using different manufacturing processes. Our customised products offer simple solutions to your complex wastewater treatment problems.
With the correct wastewater treatment plant design and process technology selection, it is easy to clean dairy wastewater to meet any environmental compliance standards or to allow for wastewater reuse.
Sources and characteristics of dairy wastewater
A Dairy Wastewater Treatment plant may be needed for various situations, including:
Compliance issues with parameters such as BOD, COD, TSS, TKN, etc
Planning a new dairy processing factory
Expansion of an existing dairy
High costs from wastewater tankering
There are many different types of dairies, and they produce a very wide range of dairy products and milk products. These include:
Milk
Cream
Butter
Yogurt
Cheese
Within these groups there are many subcategories. For example, just within the cheese category there are soft and hard cheeses, rennet coagulated cheeses, sour milk cheeses and whey cheeses.
The composition of dairy wastewater is also quite variable with each product category. This table lists the typical average, minimum and maximum values for some key parameters and pollutants such as BOD, COD, suspended solids, ammonia and nitrogen.
Understanding your wastewater comp
osition is critical in designing your Waste Water Treatment Construction plant correctly. Using the wrong design data will mean your wastewater treatment system will not operate efficiently and will not meet the required cleaning and compliance standards. We have a step by step process with each client to make sure that our designs are accurate. This allows us to provide effluent quality guarantees with our equipment and solutions.
The reason that the wastewater that is produced in dairies is highly variable is due to the many different sources of dairy wastewater and process water.
This table gives a list of some wastewater sources from the milk processing industry. As you can see, there are wastewater streams from each step in the process.

All manufactured by ClearFox® / PPU Umwelttechnik GmbH and distributed by partners worldwide.
Whether you are a homeowner looking for the best solution for your home, a construction company looking for a reliable system to install on your project, or an agent/distributor looking for a market leading solution – the ClearFox® nature is the system for you.Cleaning is completed in three stages. The raw Mobile Wastewater Treatment is led into the pre-chamber where the wastewater will be settled and buffered. Primary sludge will sink to the tank bottom and will reduce its volume by digestion in the absence of air. On the outlet of the pre-chamber, the water is hydraulically controlled to buffer peak flows. The wastewater is then distributed evenly over the entire day and forwarded to the bioreactor downstream.
The bioreactor consists of a system with aeration elements and media which are arranged above each other in a special order. On the surface of the bioreactor, there is a distribution device which evenly spreads the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems over the surface of the media. A flow control device controls the flow from the buffer tank into the biological reactor. This balances peak flows which can cause issues for other sewage systems.
On the fixed media in the biological reactor, bacteria grows and cleans the Wastewater Treatment Construction naturally. Due to the cascaded plug flow, the water will be entirely cleaned in only one pass through the reactor. At the same time, the secondary sludge is reduced in volume and biologically degraded.Due to this process technology a further secondary sludge holding tank (such as in conventional biofilm plants) is not required. The special feature of the ClearFox® Nature is that the media never needs to be replaced. This is a unique feature of the ClearFox® Nature system and ensure low cost and reliable operation.
