“Oh come on Iz,” Sam groaned. “Not even a little hint for old times sake. You know I’m not about to go and tell someone,” His tone was light and joking as he grinned at her.

“Not about everything. If you just admitted how much you love me and how utterly amazing I truly am, I would not have anything to say about it. But you insist on being difficult.” She winked at him playfully. “I’m argumentative with everyone! How dare you think you’re so special, Rogers." 

“Ah but what would life be Barton, without a little conflict to help build some character,” He shrugged with a grin of his own. “I’m sorry, being raised as Captain America’s son leads you to have a degree of self importance, that’s why I friends like you to remind me of what exactly my place is,”

“You really, really don’t.” Tommy replied, the cheeky grin permanently etched on his face when it came to causing a bit of trouble. “Hey– I’m offended. There was a time when we used to cause trouble together. Now look at you, Mr. Teaching Assistant.” He joked, balling up a empty sheet of paper and chucking it in Sammy’s direction. “Oh– they wanted to do strength training. I wasn’t feelin’ it really.” He shrugged, looking away to try and avoid Sammy’s eyes and mood sombering a little bit. 

“Anyone would think I had to grow up Tom,” He commented with a shrug, chuckling at the feeling of the paper. “Besides if I remember rightly I was always the one running after you, trying to make sure you didn’t do anything too stupid,” He smirk moving to take a seat beside the other. “Yeah being the strongest one in class can sometimes take the fun out it,” he told the other nudging him with his shoulder. 

rogersisms:

“My lips are sealed,” he mimes zipping his lips with his fingers and then throwing away the key. Tristan didn’t need to be told twice, he dutifully digs in and lets out a small hum of delight. “God, it’s been too long since I last had Chinese. You have the best timing.” He’s overexaggerating, of course, the last time he actually had Chinese being some time last week.

“Good. I don’t want anyone accusing me of favouritism,” Sammy grinned knowing full well that his little sister would let him get away with it just the once. “Oh yeah for sure,” He nodded playing along before carrying on to eat his own meal. “When was the last time you ate a proper meal Tris?”

“ i could probably think of a few reasons why, ” she trailed off, her voice matching the same amusement and teasing as earlier. the majority of the time, kali found herself trying to avoid teachers and ta’s at all cost, the authority they had over her wasn’t particularly something she was fond of. that being said, however, sammy was definitely an exception. “ what kind of question is that? of course i don’t, and i’m sure people don’t mind it either.”  once more. she shot him the same overly-confident smirk. “ uh-huh, yup, of course you can captain all-too-good. keep telling yourself that and maybe you’ll believe it yourself. ”

Sammy prided himself on being someone the younger kids could go to, he’d spent his entire life looking out for them after all. Even if they has a tendency to wind him up from time to time. He let out a laugh at her next comment. “Well then,” Sam shrugged before then promptly rolling his eyes. “What? You don’t think I’m fun Kali?” He gasped in mock offence. “Here I thought I was the first person you phoned on a saturday night,”

“I totally do!” She exclaimed, raising her hands in mock offense. “Ask them! The first thing I told them was just how good you’re at planning lessons. Right, kids?” Some of the students nodded unsure of what else to do. “Did you hit your head? You’re a Rogers, I’m a Barton. Everyone listen to Rogers and ignore Bartons. It has something to do with your father saying things that make sense and mine having crazy ideas, I think.”

Sammy couldn’t help but roll his eyes, half in affection, half in sheer frustration at just how stubborn the girl could be. “Oh sure,” he replied with a raised brow. “God you’ll fight with me about just about everything won’t you?” He wasn’t really complaining they had been like this since they were kids. “You’re not this argumentative with anyone else,”

Tommy was completely engrossed in the text on the screen. He’d been there for a few hours now, barely taking a break to give his eyes a rest. He didn’t hear Sammy approaching, and visibly jumped when the lad spoke. His mom would have flipped if she’d seen how he left himself vulnerable and open to attack.  “Well this isn’t exactly school work.” He admitted sheepishly once he regained his composure. He minimised the tab and tore his eyes from the screen to look up at Sam. “I’m not sure if I can tell you…” Tommy’s grin melted into a mischievous smirk.

Sammy sighed, his hand coming to pinch the bridge of his nose. “Do I even want to know what you were up to this time?” He asked playfully taking a few steps into the room. “You and your sister seem to cause me far too much trouble,” Samuel could complain about the Barnes siblings all he liked, everyone knew that in reality he was far too soft with them. “Talking of trouble, what’s this about you falling asleep in the locker room?”

harlowmaximoff:

        “Trust me, no one will try and take the crown from you.” She shrug, frowning before her eyes widened at the cookies. Damn it. She has this weird thing, for food and people feeding her. To try and not be rude was hard. At least she thinks it was being offered to her. She grabbed the water, but not before taking a bit of the cookie. “Thanks.” She muttered, whispering — hiding behind the water bottle. “I’m only sharing my table because you gave me food. Sit down, how’s Sharon?”

“Sounds good to me,” Sam knew Harlow well enough not to question the girl too much. “She’s good I think, finding it hard to balance the fact that she and Dad are leaving the three of us behind so much while they’re on active duty,” He shrugged. It was a feeling he was long used to know, being left behind it tended not to bother him the way that it might other people. “How are you parents? Missing me as their perfect student?”

“I’m afraid I don’t quite remember the name.” Aelin replies, her nose wrinkling a little. The title of the book wasn’t written on to the cover. “But it’s quite old. Quite good though. It’s a series of letters between a girl and other people.”

“Well I’m glad you're enjoying it,” Sammy spoke with a courteous nod. As TA’s everyone knew that they had an awful lot of work on their plate. He almost envied her having a way to relax. “I’d do anything to get out of the ridiculous amount of grading I’ve got to get done before next week,”

“No, I think I like my cat collar idea better.” Fox hums, flexing his fingers beneath the alloy glove before taking it off and offering it to the oldest Roger’s boy. “It won’t kill you, if anything you’ll be frozen but that’s an easy fix. But hey, have some faith, have I ever steered you wrong?” He pauses for only a moment before backtracking, “Don’t answer that. Just put it on and hold out your hand.”

Samuel rolled his eyes, immediately feeling rather uncomfortable. “Yeah well tell that to my Father,” he scoffed knowing it was perhaps not the best comment to make in the situation. He went to answer the other, but ended up just shaking his head Still he took the glove from the other pulling it on as gently as he could. “Now what?”

“Oh I did take a break, it was half an hour ago.” Kaylee laughed, she was an overachiever like that, she had gotten it from her father. “Now can we start please? My parents are gonna be pissed if I don’t find a way to pass this class.”

Sammy found himself nodding before taking a step forward and sitting down beside her. “Nevermind your parents it’s your sister I don’t want to deal with,” His words were spoken mostly in jest of course. “Okay so was there a specific topic you wanted me to go over with or is the situation worse than I thought,”

rogersisms:

Tristan pushed all his books to the side and happily reached for the bag that had been placed on the table. “Have I ever told you that I would kill for you?” What a weird way to say ‘I love you’. “I guess you can join me for lunch,” he says it as if the idea of eating with his brother physically pained him, but it’s said in jest mostly.

“You may have mentioned something,” Sammy laughed taking a seat beside his baby brother. “Just don’t let Vi know I brought you food, I’ll never hear the end of it,” Still if he didn’t check on his brother then he couldn’t be sure who else would. He then moved to grab the container of his noodles from the bag before shoving it towards his sibling.

“ oh sammy boy, i hope that wasn’t a dig at me. i think we all know i’m the queen of sarcasm here, teasing you is just a step-up and a half, ” she shot a grin at him before motioning to the empty seat. “ there he goes again, being the knight in shining armour and of all that is just and right. do you ever get bored of always doing the right thing ?? ”

“Now why would I ever do that Wilson,” Sammy’s voice is full of amusement seeing nothing wrong with teasing the girl. He sits down beside her with a roll of his eyes. Of all the student’s in the academy he was involved with Kali was by far the most dramatic. “Do you ever get bored of smirking at people,” he shot back with a raised brow. “I’m a goody two shoes when I need to be… I know how to have fun too,”

SCRIBBLING NOTES FURIOUSLY across the page, Selene doesn’t need to look up to see who it is. ❛ Someone around here has to be, right Sammy?? ❜ When he mentions taking a break, she clucks her tongue disapprovingly. ❛ And who’s going to write up this mesmerization lesson plan?? You?? I don’t think so superboy. ❜

Sammy lets out a laugh at the sound of the nickname, shaking his head. “You seem to forget that I’ve been doing this longer than you have wondergirl,” He puts more emphasis on the word then he should have just to prove his point. “What are you writing up anyway?” He is useless when it comes to remembering where the other TAs have been assigned, a small piece of evidence to highlight how messy his mind could be.

the program she was trying to develop still presented a whole buch of issues. izzie let out a frustrated sigh while rubbing her face. she looked at sam with a grin while closing her laptop “i don’t know why it’s not working” the girl complained “i should have access to all of the peruvian goverment computers by now” izzie joked, that wasn’t the actual purpouse of her program but she loved teasing sam.

“Iz,” Sam groaned. “That’s not funny and you know it,” his voice seems like it is an attempt to seem reprimanding  but his smile gives him away. “try taking a breather, I’m sure you’ll figure it out eventually,” The male was rather used to facing the brunt of the girl’s frustrations. “Besides I think you’ll find I myself am way more entertaining,”
