very often the traits we assume to be someone’s natural strengths are actually the things they naturally lacked most glaringly or were deprived of the opportunity to develop, but intentionally worked to build later on
especially things like self-restraint, confidence, articulateness, the ability to admit wrong, and other interpersonal strengths and skills

I genuinely don’t have the words to describe how horrible the situation is in Palestine. They’re killing people left and right. Every single day.
Like every time someone posts about a murder, i just don’t have the time to type something about it before a new murder is recorded. 4 Palestinians were murdered today. Including a 14 years old boy.
I’m not mentioning the people being shot. I’m not mentioning the arrests. The raids. The people put under administrative detention.
I’m not mentioning the way zionist extremists want to slaughter animals inside Al Aqsa mosque, and are giving rewards for those who do it, just to piss off muslim Palestinians during the most holy month of the year.
I have the tv on right now and I feel like I’m watching a war. It’s absolutely horrible. It just has a lot less media coverage than last year. Palestinians were already speaking about a huge possibility of a third Intifadah but now ? Genuinely if in the next few days the occupation keeps doing the sh*t they’re doing they’re the only ones who take responsibility for the consequences.
And this is not only about the past period of time. This has been going on for over 70 years.
You take a people’s land. Displace thousands. You murder them. Kill their men women and children. Like it’s nothing to you. Like they’re just numbers. You bomb them in an open air prison every couple years. You deny them water, medical care, you deny them from living in their homeland, and treat them like strangers in it. This was all gonna blow up in your faces one day. The occupation is the root of all violence. They’re the only terrorists here.
There is a genocide happening in broad day light. Pure and simple.
Resistance until freedom. By all means necessary.
Free Palestine

"How do you do it?" She asked.
We were at a tiny cafe in Delhi, filled with conversations and laughter, a group of old school friends meeting after years.
Do what, I thought.
"This. Flashing this smile, ear to ear. Squinting, like nothing's wrong. Laughing, like you're not stopping yourself from telling them how they've troubled you all this while. Toasting, like you can't wait to get out of here, like you did back in school. No, stop. Stop making promises to meet again. Stop telling them you miss school. Give in to the urge of looking at your watch. Walk out, walk away.
Socialising isn't our cup of tea anyway."
