4/28/2024: Addy and Marta's first date!
Addy's birthday was earlier this month, you see, and Marta worked up the nerve to ask her out about it. Addy has not dated anyone prior to this, and she hasn't previously confronted the idea that she might not be straight. "Straight" and "gay" aren't even really concepts she was aware of. She grew up thinking that men and women marry when they're older and have children and that's just how it is, so the idea that she could maybe get to be romantic with a girl is a lot for her to take in, but luckily, she has new friends to help her sort things out.
Addy is wearing the Janie & Jack Floral Toile Dress with some tights and Mary Janes (she decided it made sense to dress modern for such a modern event, and she wanted to wear red to coordinate with Marta). The hottest-coolest mom-dad friend around, Pyrrha Dve, can be seen here doing her hair and giving her a pep talk about queer dating.
(Pyrrha is here! We're pretty sure she was born a Just Like You 58, who is sometimes considered the Most Beautiful Doll. This is appropriate because Pyrrha is also the Most Beautiful. Or Most Handsome. Or both. She's wearing an outfit from baihedollclothes on eBay and riding boots.)
Also joining this preparation party is darling Nona, still in her cute neon ribcage outfit, who doesn't know a whole lot about dating in the technical sense but has a good sense for people. She's also hyping up Pyrrha's hair-braiding skills, since her own beautiful braids are a Pyrrha original.
Meanwhile, Marta (who's more experienced with dating, of course, but that's none of our business) is busy preparing herself. She intended to do this by herself, but her new friend Melody (who hasn't dated herself, but she has two older sisters, so she's familiar with the concept) has insisted on helping her dress. Look! She could wear this vest!
Or, Melody adds, this vest! Look, Camilla is holding it. Camilla and Marta have a complicated history, in that there was that one time that they did almost kill each other in a duel, but that duel wasn't about anything personal. They actually get on pretty well; they respect each other a lot. They've just been through it.
Marta is wearing the shirt (and will be wearing the blue vest, which Cam is currently holding) from the Mix and Match Outfit, pants from DollFactoryDirect on Etsy, and boots. Melody is holding the vest from the Urban Outfit and wearing the dress from the Let's Smile Outfit and the shoes from her Fancy Floral Dress. Camilla is wearing, in addition to their trusty pants and boots, the jersey from the Soccer Star Set.
Marta: "Addy, did you know it's Lesbian Visibility Week?"
Addy: "It's what?"
Marta: "May told me it's Lesbian Visibility Week."
Addy: "Are lesbians invisible the rest of the time?"
Marta, trying not to smile: "Not literally, but some people ignore them or look down on them. Or don't even have the words to know about them."
Addy: "Like how I didn't..."
Marta: "And it's fine if you decide another term fits you better, but at least now you know lesbians exist."
Addy: "So it's an appropriate week for a maybe-lesbian date!"

4/21/2024: Happy birthday (tomorrow), Molly!
Some of her friends threw a little party to celebrate her. Of course, her best friend (girlfriend) Emily is there, hugging her in celebration; other guests are her dog Bennett, her number one fan Courtney, sweet Melody, and a new face around here: Maryellen!

4/14/2024: Happy birthday, Joss!
April is a busy month for doll birthdays. Rebecca's and Addy's (and a couple of the girls we don't have yet) were earlier in the month, and Molly's is coming up. Today, though, we're (and the other modern girls, and a dog [possibly the scruffiest imaginable Wheaten Terrier Puppy] that we named Parker Posey because she poses, not realizing that there's a canonical dog named Barker Posey) celebrating Joss!

3/24/2024: We've received some gifts!
One of our Instagram friends, agdoll.world, did a giveaway of an outfit and a set of accessories, and we were lucky enough to be the winner! (By the way, you can also follow us on Instagram at saintalectoshome! It's the same stuff in different configurations, mostly.)
Corona is modeling the Pretty Plaid Outfit and a cute little fancy updo for this very special occasion: she got Judith to agree to go on a cute little date! Judith is wearing the blazer from Tenney's Sparkling Performance Outfit, the pants from Saige's Tunic Outfit with a generic belt, a generic tank top, and boots by BrierRoseDollClothes on Etsy. (If she takes off the blazer, she looks not unlike she's cosplaying as a member of 4*Town.)
Meanwhile, Julie has invited Ianthe for a perfectly platonic spa day (to distract Ianthe from the fact that Corona is on a date).
"Ianthe! Look at these adorable slippers we got!" Julie says.
"Julie, no!" Ianthe cries, lunging in front of Julie. "Don't show them your feet for free!"
As Julie puts the slippers on, Ianthe mutters to herself, "These girls would be nowhere without me to guide them."
"I'll do your hair," Julie offers.
"Ooh, and then I could do your eyes," Ianthe offers.
"What?" Julie asks, because she often forgets about her new friends' necromantic abilities, and when she remembers: "No! I like my eyes just fine. Please leave them in my head."
"I could leave them in and just tweak them," Ianthe says, but she also forgets that her new friends aren't used to such casual body modification, even just as a topic of conversation, so she wisely holds her tongue and lets Julie play with her hair.
They're also accompanied by Porphyrogenita, of course.
They're wearing the AG-canon tank tops and jammie pants and jeans made by @incomprehensiblelentils' mom, and also modeling the Pawsitively Purrfect Accessories (Ianthe the headband and Julie the aforementioned slippers).

3/19/2024: Happy birthday, Josefina!
Here she is in her Feast Day Finery (sans ribbons), just looking beautiful.
To celebrate her birthday, she invited Rebecca and Melody to hang out - and to introduce their pets to her goat, Sombrita. Rebecca brought her kittens and Melody brought her dog Bo (short for Bojangles).

3/10/2024: An unexpected connection forms!
When we were moving dolls around mid-photoshoot, Marta here ended up with Addy. Marta is basically the definition of "probably has a rich inner world, but that's none of your business," so she doesn't really come with any canonical love interests (well, save the part where Judith had a crush on her, but that wasn't reciprocal) and we didn't really know what she was going to be up for.
Obviously she's queer, I mean have you seen her, but the details of her queerness were up for debate.
But then she wound up next to Addy, and she had such a look on her face, and who are we to fight it?

2/25/2024: Everyone meet Nona!
For those of you familiar with The Locked Tomb, Nona needs no introduction, but for those of you who aren't, Nona is... kind of difficult to explain, so you can just imagine her as Harrow's much happier twin sister who might also be kind of an eldritch being or something. The most important things to know are that she loves her friends, she loves dogs, she loves the world, she loves the universe, and she loves you.
Nona began life as a Tenney (I think?) that we rescued from a Goodwill in Florida. It was essential that our Nona hailed from a thrift store, and we were very happy to get her out of Florida as well.
She has a very sweet face and we loved her on sight.
Fast-forward to: one wig swap later, thanks to BbeautyDesigns on Etsy with this literally perfect wig. (Nona canonically prefers to wear her very long hair in three or more braids, so this wig with four couldn't have been a better find.)
She's perfect and we love her. She's wearing the leggings from the 1995 Mix and Match Outfit, the top from a neon skeleton outfit by lovvbugg on eBay, and sneakers sold by dollclothessewbeautiful on eBay.

2/18/2024: Some girls just vibing.
They had a pretty nice Valentine's Day with their friends, but neither girl had her Valentine here with her. Molly is missing her girlfriend Emily (who she named her dog after, you know!) and Julie is missing her girlfriend Ivy, so they commiserated together.

Nellie and Samantha do have each other to spend the day with, so they did that very happily.

2/14/2024: Valentine's Day with a bunch of kiddos who've just learned what Valentine's Day is because they don't have that in space but they're doing their best.
Harrow has decided to try to spoil Gideon, not only by indulging her on a Valentine's date but by finding her a fuzzy friend, this sloth! Gideon is still figuring out a name for them, but she is clearly delighted by finally having a pet of her own.

2/10/2024: Happy Lunar New Year!
Who's that little redhead, you may ask? That's Isaac Tettares, Baron of Tisis and the necromantic heir of the Fourth House, and despite being of Chinese ancestry, he's never celebrated Lunar New Year before. They don't have that in space in the future.
(Isaac began life as an Emerson Wellie Wisher doll, but he's since been rewigged with a ZazouCustomDolls wig and dressed in a way he's more comfortable with, thanks to this set.)
Hearing that he'd never had Lunar New Year before, Corinne, Gwynn, and May set out to throw a celebration! Since it's the Year of the Dragon, they're also accompanied by Xiaoying and Guilan, two Fluffnest stuffies.
Corinne is wearing the Lunar New Year outfit; Gwynn is wearing the shirt and skirt from this lil outfit sold by 2debsadorables on eBay, while Isaac is wearing the vest; May is wearing Ivy's New Years dress.
Gwynn and Corinne took another sister picture with the dragons, too.
Later, Isaac's found family (Abigail and Jeannemary, of course) showed up to celebrate with him, and May taught Abigail how to properly give red envelopes to the littles in her life. Isaac, as you can see, is very thrilled.

2/4/2023: Visiting the in-laws!
We often bring a couple of our girls (or stuffies, depending) with us when we go to @incomprehensiblelentils' folks house, because they are also enthusiastic about cute things, and Melody and Molly were our guests of choice this weekend.
The girls' highlight of the visit was obviously meeting father/in-law's custom Fluffle Puff. Some research has explained to me that this is a fanmade My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic character (species?) and father/in-law finds her so funny that brother/in-law commissioned a custom plush for him for Christmas. She is a giant fluffy monstrosity of love, and needless to say, Molly and Melody were delighted to meet her and go for a ride.
They also relaxed with some light reading while we played Wingspan (a bird-collecting deck-building game that is beautiful).

1/30/2024: More Locked Tomb Jammie January content to round out the month.
Dulcie (in Samantha's BeForever nightgown), Camilla (in the sweatshirt from the 2000 Urban Outfit and a pair of generic gray leggings), and Pal (in a pair of pajamas sold by carsynn2007 on eBay) are just having a snuggle. Your honor they are in love.
Marta has finally arrived to keep her necromancer Judith company! She's a Truly Me 80 with a ZazouCustomDolls wig and she is absolutely beautiful. She's in the 2016 Holiday Penguin PJs, while Jody is in the 2009 Winter Pajamas (also penguin-themed). They're just vibing.
Surprise! Lilith, our 2014 tumblr girl original character do not steal, is in fact a backdoor Locked Tomb OC. She's Mercy's half-sister and best friend besides Cristabel; further introductions are forthcoming, but she's the eternal witness to the other two's long-winded courtship.
As seen here: Mercy (a Rebecca doll rewigged with another ZazouCustomDolls wig: on the couch, in pink pajamas by sewcutemap on eBay) is totally in love with Cris (Lea, who might eventually be rewigged or might not, we haven't decided; on the floor, in an AG cami and someone's bloomers) and Cris is totally in love with Mercy. Lilith (a Truly Me 90 in the 2000 Stars and Stripes Sleep Set, which is one of the outfits from @toriasimmons' childhood collection) is just looking into the camera like she's on The Office.
And finally...
This isn't how it happens.

1/28/2024: Some Jammie January snapshots!
Addy (in her canon nightgown) and Melody (in her canon pajamas) are both pretty new here at Saint Alecto's, but they're getting on famously. They're playing with Melody's dog Bo and chatting cheerfully.
Addy was rewigged using a Bbeauty Dolls wig, since when she came to us her hair wasn't in the best shape.
Courtney (in an AG-brand camisole and shorts made by @incomprehensiblelentils' mother) is absolutely thrilled to meet (another new addition to the group) Molly (in her canon pajamas). After all, Molly is her favorite! (Molly is absolutely tickled to be someone's favorite.)
Josefina (in her canon night shift) and new girl Kavi (in the 2011 Sweetheart Pajamas) are enjoying spending time with Corinne (in the 2002 Snowflake Satin PJs) and Corinne's pup Flurry. Nothing fancy, just gals and a dog.

1/21/24: Jammie January, confusing twins edition.
(Ianthe is in Rebecca's satin pajamas; Corona's are, I believe, these satin Sophia's pajamas.)
Ianthe is monopolizing the foldable bed-chair (a My Life piece, I believe) so Corona has done the only thing she can think of and stolen the comforter. Only when Ianthe unfolds it so they both, at the very least, have a place to sit does Corona share.
It's a totally normal sleepover thing to do. Trust them.

1/14/2024: Some more Jammie January!
We found this triple bunk bed and decided it was really a must-have, given how many of our girls (etc.) need a place to lay their heads; I (@toriasimmons) put it together this weekend.
Up on the top bunk, May (in the 2000 Nightshirt and Slipper Set) is sitting with her beloved pets Coconut and Licorice (who have been with her for years and years, long before we rediscovered our doll collecting hobby) and her buddy Luciana (in her canonical PJs). They're just chilling!
In the middle bunk is Julie (in silk pajamas made by @incomprehensiblelentils' mom, also years and years ago) snuggling her bunny Nutmeg.
And on the floor, Joss (in an AG-brand camisole and pajama pants made, again, by @incomprehensiblelentils' mom) is looking over her notebook, planning for the weeks ahead.
