Whew! Last post was over a year ago about the Darby Riggin’ Rally. I busted my ass and was able to make it again this year! Now renamed to the Yellowstone Darby Xtreme Broncs, I wasn’t sure this year would top last year. Last year I braved my anxiety to talk to one of my favorite cowboys. Last year we got to witness history. Rocker Steiner posted a world record 95 points on C5’s Virgil. How can that be topped?
I found out early in the year that my all time favorite bronc would be there this year. Straight Jacket is the biggest inspiration in me wanting to own my own stock someday. So I frantically saved and was able to go. I got to see Straight Jacket up close and personal. I got to see him buck in person for the first time. I got to see my two favorite cowboys place first and second, and they signed my bronc logo for me ☺️
2024… we’re coming back with some high expectations! Can you best 2023?

2020 when the first Yellowstone Riggin Rally was held in Darby, Montana, I knew I wanted to go. 2021 as I watched it on the Cowboy Channel, I told myself I’d be there in person the next one. I fought tooth and nail to save up the money, and found myself in a dream come true.
2022 Yellowstone Riggin Rally was magical. Darby is a dream town. I know I won’t have the funds to make 2023… but you can bet your ass 2024 I’ll be back in these stands, cheering on the best in the bareback standings and falling in love with Montana all over again 💕

The more I think about Rodeo, the more I want to just up and leave my entire life behind and start anew. I wanna move to a stock Contractor ranch and learn the business by doing the hard work. I don’t think I can just wing it on my own.
My heart is begging me to go, my mind is saying stay with the certainty of the job you have, and my anxiety says I’m not going anywhere 😂😭
I’ve never had this desire before for myself. I once wanted to up and leave and move to Alaska for the boy I loved. I wanted it for him, not for me and that terrifies me.

I’ll never have that again and sometimes the sadness of the reality of the life I’ve chosen for myself sets in a little too hard 😔

Took a trip to my aunt’s farm in Weiser this weekend. It is sale pending so this is the last time ill get to see the place. Some posh Californian is literally buying all 130 acres just because he wants the pond to duck hunt 😂
I drove my dad and stepmom up. My phone was on shuffle on some select songs and they slept the whole way up. There was one song on the shuffle that I hoped would olay while they were sleeping. Know when it played? When they woke up.... I can’t even begin to describe how uncomfortable it is to be jammin out to “ Dicked Down in Dallas” in front of my parents 😂
Snowed a little last night. Pouring rain tonight. Glad I’m not gonna be the one driving home tomorrow night. Dad will do that and I normally don’t sleep in vehicles but I might just have to so my anxiety over the possible road conditions doesn’t freak me out haha.
