I wanted him to become a LI too, but I still understand why he isn't one 😅 There are too many LIs already, and Hotch has an important role in the plot that prevented him to become a LI. He's a complicated person as well, and his relationship with Rix is just as complicated...
That being said, the author tried his best to please Hotch's fans and at the same time managed to preserve his character. I respect that. I do hope he writes a LI like Hotch in his next story (doesn't have to be a copy of Hotch) because I feel like he has the most realistic chemistry with Rix in GC 😊

1. Lab, baby, how do you feel about our little brothers? After all, now you and Rix have a fluffy ball of happiness.
"It is impossible not to love our little brothers. Every time, I am surprised at how different their characters can be... And Rix's cybercat is a true friend. It's amazing that he didn't harden up, didn't become less affectionate after the pain he suffered. A perfect example for me."
2. Labelle, we know that you train "spirit and body" in your free time. And yet, what do you like to do the most when there is an extra minute?
“I am fascinated by nature. The beautiful things that make us Human are fascinating - pure art and creativity. I love watching people singing and dancing. 6. If you could give up control of the Ludus, how would you like to live? What would you like to do? And if you could change something in childhood, what would it be?
“I liked that my family lived on Blore... There is something in this: to know a lot about New Rome, but not to live in it. Look at it from the outside, see the pros and cons, but do not influence it.
It seems to me that such large systems can put a lot of pressure on a person... These huge cities, endless contacts... You lose yourself in them. And I'm comfortable in a small family. I'm a bit withdrawn, but it's fixable, I'm struggling with it.

GC's concept in general is unique, I like it. But I wholeheartedly agree that it doesn't really mesh well at times. Like it's literally called, "Gladiator Chronicles" but they went to the arena only once..... the gladiator aspect of it isn't well-executed. I think it would be better if the author didn't focus on the scarium stuff (or just scrap the whole idea) and maybe, GC would've been more like the Hunger Games.
All in all, Dmitry bit more than he could chew. He has a long way to go but I still see a lot of potential in him. He confirmed that he just started writing his new story, and I'm really looking forward to it.
Confession:
"I think it's really a shame that RC picked a theme as niche as Ancient Rome + futuristic space battles for its only male MC story. I feel like more people would be open to another male MC story if RC had done something with more general appeal for their first try at a male MC story. For me at least, I didn't mind playing as a man, but I hated GC's whole concept...I can't be the only one!"

i've seen people losing all their progress a lot lately and i genuinely don't get how this happens atp, and it's unfortunate because support rarely answers emails in my experience so. just to be safe, everyone who hasn't already should go on the app's settings and login with credentials, even if you don't plan on ever playing on pc or another device, having credentials makes it a thousand times easier to save your progress, and you don't risk losing it, ever + it's safer than just connecting to your google or facebook account
