THE MP3 PLAYER ITSELF GOT LOST NOT LONG AFTER AND SINCE IT WAS THE EARLY 2010s AND BOUGHT FROM A NOW DEFUNCT STORE I FIGURED I'D NEVER FIND IT AGAIN AND IT WOULD ALWAYS BE THIS VAUGE MYSTERY, ONE THAT I HAVENT EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT IN YEARS. NO. I WAS JUST WATCHING A YOUTUBE VIDEO ABOUT A BOOTLEG 7TH GEN IPOD NANO AND WHEN THE GUY TURNED IT ON IT SHOWED THE "ECLIPSE" LOGO AND I SWEAR TO GOD I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A DEEPLY BURIED MEMORY UNEARTHED SO SUDDENLY. LIKE AS SOON AS I SAW THE STARTUP SCREEN I KNEW. ONE GOOGLE SEARCH AND I FOUND A REDDIT THREAD WITH SOMEONE ASKING THE SAME QUESTION. I FOUND THE SONG. I STILL REMEMBER THE OPENING AFTER 11 YEARS. i've never been medicated for adhd until TODAY, about two hours ago. took adderall for the first time. so far i have noticed two things

1. my brain has never been this quiet before. ever. usually i'd have about 8 thoughts at once all bouncing around in there and connecting in various ways. right now it's just a blank slate

2. i feel so generally calm. like compared to how i feel right now i must've been on edge all the time and just not realised. it's so serene and content i feel like i'm sitting in front of a beautiful blue lake and looking out over the water
