fuck it im combining first special interest with new special interest. night at the museum hlvrai au. the museum is the Black Mesa Science Museum. benrey is the cryptid night guard who’s been working there for as long as anyone can remember. the museum got some budget cuts and had to lay off one of the team of 3 security guards that benrey was originally part of, and they picked jefferem but the other guard that isn’t benrey quit in protest of that, so now they need a new guard to work with benrey, and gordon gets the job. what gordon doesn’t know, however, is that one of the crystals in the geology exhibits has a very strange property: it brings the exhibits to life. The rest of the main gang are all wax figures of influential scientists from various exhibits. Despite primarily being a science museum, it has a Hall of Miniatures depicting scenes from history, including the Wild West and Ancient Rome. Yes, I’m putting Jedtavius in here and not even substituting the characters. My excuse is that Joshua is going to show up at some point and be really excited because cowboys. 

also benrey is an alien in this one and the crystal is from xen, he took the night guard position to keep the crystal out of the wrong hands. gordon does figure this out eventually.

ok i know this is an hlvrai sideblog not a half-life sideblog and gordon is a theoretical physicist not an experimental physicist but... this has gordon freeman energy and you can’t change my mind

OK JUST AN IDEA BUT LIKE, I can see Alyx, Barney, and Gordon all traveling together. Maybe they’ve had a few fights, its been a few days, maybe they’re out in the middle of nowhere and its getting kinda dark out. so as the trio are looking for shelter in an old broken and abandoned town of a sort. 

Alyx is like “how about in there?” and Gordon and Barney look over and its its a fucking white castle. ok just fucking white castle. 

and they both fucking get on the ground and start crying and bro hugging each other maybe even kiss about it. Alyx has no idea what the fuck is happening.

idea. benrey whoops ass in transistor and still cries at the ending. gordon is bad at transistor and gives benrey comfort hugs when he’s crying over the ending of transistor. that is all. 

(transistor is a videogame by supergiant games and you should most definitely be careful if playing it, the ending has some content that might be seriously triggering, and the action that activates the final cutscene is so unassuming that the first time I played through it, I didn’t know it would do that, and played through the whole game again to see if I could get a different ending. you can’t get a different ending)

Please also tag your stuff with the scene of Gordon losing his hand/arm!!
