I have no idea how to adapt the wordplay into English...
"Get off the needle of social approval and sit on the devil's face" in Russian, "sit on a needle - сесть на иглу" is exactly to become addicted to the use, so here is a pun: sit on a needle = sit on the face

As you probably know, another movie-version of this book was released this year in January. Naturally, it's in Russian. But I made English subtitles for my friends, and I'm happy to share them with all of you. Mind you, I'm not a professional translator, just a girl who speaks English more or less decently (with online vocabularies, haha), and who wanted to share her obsession with her closed ones.
