I think i just got an idea for a really funny novel/movie.
So someone buys a house that is rumored to be haunted, and at first, it seems as if the rumors are true. There are weird noises up in the attic, and the walls are spattered with red stuff. The owner gets more and more stressed about the stuff going on in is house until he opens that attic door and finds the owners of the previous house just sitting there patiently and then they’re like “oh hi darling i was wondering when you would come up” and they were “close companions” and one of them was an artist and the other was a big prankster and so they just decided to splatter red paint on the walls and after they died they would make creepy noises just to scare off the next owners.
