If you can guess the next song name in this next The Skkords boyband piece then you probably share the same single braincell with me :D A WIP for the next Skkords art I just recently did (about 70% finished, just need to do the finishing + additional details) before I lost my pen nib. At least I can rest for some time while waiting for my pen replacement.

Originally wanted to be exclusively Ghira piece, but adding Link beside him really worth the time drawing this! :D and I can say that Link is that one 90's boyband member that rarely talks at interview, but often gives the band a heavenly backing vocals (you know, that one that goes Ooooooh Aaaaah at every end of any 90's boyband song)

I also made another render with Link having his original haircut + hat, but I prefer the first one since it's really goofy having him wearing a suit with his elf-like cap 😂

I might be doing another piece from the 90's boyband Ghirahim sketchdump (you can suggest which one next!) And yeah, I gave the boyband name The Skkords, as cheesy as it sounds like, it's basically a cursed mix of Skyward Sword + Chords :D

Link : please stop singing Ghirahim : tell me why~ 🎵 Link : *screams throughout the entire Zelda timeline*

If Fi sings like a Vocaloid, then I expect Ghirahim sing like a true 90's boyband member :D (might be coming back to color these Ghiras! The boyband poses he makes are way too cool to not color tho)

Reforged Ghirahim (Sword Spirit Form)

My take on designing Ghirahim's form if he was reforged by the Goddesses, also as a form he progressively gets as he becoming an ally to Link. Would be a potentially good AU or at very least one shot fanfic material tho, like giving Ghirahim a new meaningful purpose after Demise's defeat.

Also some headcanon things, since Fi and Ghirahim are basically the "personal assistant AI" of the respective swords, I can imagine Ghirahim (who's created by a demon) awkwardly grasping how humans work in daily life, and probably having a really hard time to accept that one day he and Link will part ways, as humans are not immortal.

Aaand my favourite is the Cloaked Ghirahim, he looks like he's going to give Link that bridal carry :D

I bet Grooseland would have one of these as merchandise--if Groose ever achieving his dream to build Grooseland as a theme park :D

It's like when the good guys teaming up with the bad guys to take down the twist villain :D and tiny Ghira on top of Link is just perfect.

There's 3 Remlits in this drawing and yes, I can confirm there's 100% totally no Link from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword guys!!

Ghirahim and Link sketchdump I mentioned recently, these all look pretty good so I'm going to make them as separate finished work later. The right one is just my take on redesigning Ghirahim's appearance--just wondering what if he had the same "armless" design like Fi. (will make the concept sheet asap!) also, more squeaky Link up there, yipee 👀

This is the rendering process of my digital painting! I usually prioritize the main point of interest (as it saves more time too) and always keeping the sketch layer visible, since I really liked the sketchy look which gives the illusion to look like a traditional drawing.

I had tons of fun making this, and I feel sometimes that explaining the creative process is more fun rather than the finished drawing. It's kinda giving me the same vibe as a chef explaining and preparing for a fine dining meal tho.

And sorry if some parts are hard to understand, as I also wanted to make a simpler guide on digital painting in future posts!

Other than doing it for hobby, I think Skyward does carving and or drawing to help him sleep too. Somewhat like something comforting to calm his nerves too when he has nightmares / getting bullied by Groose and his gang. I also love the small detail the Skyward Link model in-game you can also see that he has those "eyebags lines" under his eyes (which the other Links doesn't have), which might be implying he's not having enough sleep.

That funny ahh inception moment when you're drawing someone drawing 👀 jokes aside, I like to think Sky enjoys drawing too when he's not carving wood statues! Really liking the secretly creative side of Sky that the game implies when you see his dorm room.

At first I want to color this as usual but I think I also want to make this as a step by step on how I color my artworks! Right from sketch - flat colors - shading - final detailing (ambience/other details) so this will be a WIP for a while.

Bush / Foliage Rendering

Since I'm planning to do more original artwork this year (that isn't fanart or LoZ), making some tutorials would be nice! Just want to share on how I paint digitally here.

Oh and for the colors, I usually adjust the Hue slider or Color Balance slider until I got the colors I wanted. Hope this helps!

Inspired by @casiavium post, I'm just liking the idea of Ghira being Link's companion with some goofy shenanigans (actually doodled some and decided to roughly color this one, maybe more will come!)

Mmm, loaf pose Remlit Ghirahim atop the Sky child 👀 More Remlit Ghirahim (GHIRALIT???) since he is my most favorite ones from the last Remlit SS Gang I did! also reusing the fainted Link from the last piece since it's just perfect for this one

Ghost kitty 🥺

Started as a study sketch for Remlit anatomy but ended as a full piece + onions…

Also I like to think a bittersweet headcanon that the ghost kitty were owned by one of the Skyloft resident that has long passed away (more likely Pheoni, the hand ghost in the dorm toilet) and maybe an extra sidequest that you need to befriend the kitty and play with it so it can finally depart peacefully with its owner.

(Might be doing a short illustrated fic about this, so keep an eye for it!)
