Roxanne leaned back in her chair, her lips pressed tightly together. "You don't remember..." She murmured more to herself than she did to him as she ran her fingers through her hair. "We...you...you told me you love me." She said quietly. "I said it back." Her head raised so she could look at him and she shrugged her shoulders simply. "You have to remember."

Roxanne laid a hand on his back to assist him as he sat up. "Well, the person that did this can't hide forever. And when we do find them, we will kill them." She mused bluntly before rolling her eyes."Now isn't the time for jokes, Victor." She thought he was just joking.

Roxanne's eyes widened in relief at his words and the hand that had been holding his squeezed it tighter. "I missed  you waking up the first time, I didn't want to miss it again. How are you feeling? Still don't remember who shot you?" She murmured seriously, biting the corner of her lip as she surveyed him. She had been so worried about him when she had heard and the feel of her heart plummeting into her stomach was burned into her memory. "You couldn't have at least waited a week after we made things official to scare me to death?" She teased, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes.

Victor woke up grogily and looked at the person standing at his bedside. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at the summer festival?” When he had woken up after being shot, he had suffered some short term memory and hadn’t been able to remember anything about the shooting or what had happened earlier that day. The last thing he had remembered had been going to bed the night before and then waking up in the hospital with a gun shot wound in the shoulder.

"I couldn't agree more. Some of the idiocy of these people still astounds me."

"I’m sure you are." Cameron grinned, ordering himself a beer. "I need a break from being social. There are far too many people I’d like to stab right now."

"Lilith dear, I didn't expect to see you here."

"Couldn’t agree more."

"Definitely not." She raised her glass to Ava before taking a sip. "How are you dear?"

"Is that supposed to mean something important?"

"Oh, I'm a frequent visitor, dear."

"Didn’t think I’d see you here."

"It's after five o'clock somewhere."

"I’m going to keep kissing you.  Less chance I’ll ruin the moment."

She returned the kiss deeply, her hands cupping his neck. "You going to actually say something or are you just going to kiss me?" She mumbled against his lips before kissing him again.

Victor kissed Roxanne, excitement vibrating through his body.  Happy, Victor was happy.  

She nodded her head, smiling. "Yes, we are giving him something to freak out over."

Victor smiled at Roxanne.  ”I hope this means we’re giving him something to freak out.”

"Only in your dreams, dear."

"Right? I can still sleep with old women like you," He teased.
