lose control (i won't crash) by insfiration — this work is just so exquisite and delectable. the prose in this fic is stunning and detailed in such a mesmerizing way, and the tension is SO palpable within the wording. i also absolutely love the characterization of miguel in this and i cannot recommend it enough
and a spoonful of sugar by lesbesbean — a gorgeous, gorgeous first chapter. the interactions between the reader and miguel feels so natural in a way that i know a lot of you love, and i just adore it! the dialogue is top-tier in this one and i enjoyed the ride!
apology by eyelessfaces — boy. when i say i THOROUGHLY enjoyed this work is an understatement. the smut is delicious, this miguel is delicious, and i’m very satisfied.
better company by the simppimp — a lovely plot and some amazing tension displayed in the author’s writing style here! if you’re like me, very debased and debauched, i adored the feral miguel portrayed in this one. it felt natural, it felt real, and at times, very funny and relatable.
“who’s he?” by theking_killer — i would love to say first and foremost that theking_killer wrote one of the very first miguel o’hara x reader fics on ao3, and is an absolute icon for pumping out so much delectable and amazing content. every. single. time. this one particular installment in their series, of earth 355: the ballad of mimicry (highly suggest going through and binging many of these works as well!), is my favorite so far.

here's a little snippet from chapter seven to give you a glimpse of what's to come!
Being a father had taught him that the heart, with its intricate rhythms and enigmatic yearnings, was a realm where science faltered, and something greater, something beyond the confines of equations, held sway.
When Gabi was born, the fragile foundation of Miguel's meticulously crafted existence began to fissure. He tried so hard to repent, to take back his actions and become a man that was worthy to be her father. Yet, it was your presence that delivered the final blow, shattering the remnants of his carefully constructed facade into a million fragments. It felt like standing over a cliff, looking down over the abyss.
“Miguel, I’ve never felt this way before,” Your eyes fluttered shut, inhaling deeply in anticipation of his impending rejection. “You don’t have to feel the same. I know we’ve been dancing around it, I know that we’ve just been messing around, but… I just wanted to tell you.”

this one is so freakin’ funny!!! it is genuinely one of the most thoughtful, creative, and character-driven fics on the miguel o’hara tag. i’m such a big fan of this work, you don’t even understand 😚
Oh, Lover. — wanderwithme (wanderlustt)
wanderlustt is one of those authors who genuinely pulls you in and writes a compelling story no matter the plot, no matter the character, so i was over the moon when i found out that they had a miguel o’hara work! such a big big fan of this author and the first chapter of help wanted was heavily inspired by one of their other works (they were friends). i highly HIGHLY recommend giving this a read, it’s also completed!
