I don't hear to many stories about you as a younger man however many account for the strong father of three girls who always came threw for his people when they needed him worked hard at the home he built with his father and wife of 50+ years and in work as a carpenter to be someone who could become the back bone of our family someone that everyone looks to for not only support but also as a man that exudes simple yet effective alturistic morals; always show up if you gave your word, stay until the job is finished, give it you all if you know you can, do the right thing even when no one is looking, be present accountable dependable and understanding for those around you to any friend especially famly and even strangers when you can, it cost you nothing to be a good person but can payout in endless rewards, and the greatest reward in life comes from going above and beyond what is required of you working hard each day not only for your self but to better those around you and that reward is a peace of mind when you lay your head down at the end of a long day and wake up full of contentment followed by a drive knowing you are the shining example of a Dependable Man. I continue to learn from you to this day and although I may have taken forgatend some of your lessons and the time we spent together because I yearned for the attention of my dad as I get older and look back I realize why Grandma would tell me to go see what your Father is doing outside because I was always learning so much from you and about you threw the work we would do together. Honestly I never truly appreciated you when you where alive I was so angry about the relationship we didn’t have when I was young that I didn’t reach out when you where sick and I was older. It was hard for me to watch you slip away when I felt like I never got to truly have you in my life however once you where gone I realized that because I didn’t understand life’s struggles I hadn’t cherished the time we had. I know now that no man is perfect you had your own challenges and you did what you could and it does me no good to only focus on what wasn’t rather then look back at times like you taking me to my first Metallica concert or all the movies we would go see together.
