Bet-E felt relieved to see she had caught the attention of the one looking out the window and simple nodded in response as he left her view. Without much movement on her part, she refocused her cameras back on the scarab flying about her head. The robot had to duck a few times thanks to her new friend's flying maneuvers, but it gave her a close look at some of it's mechanical workings. Constantly hooked up to the internet, Bet-E always had biology and anatomy books on reference in her files. The insect was a little different than it's biological counterparts, but as always, she ignored this and simply saw it as something unique and special like herself.

With the sound of the apartment door opening whisking the robot out of her inner thought processes, Bet-E turned to the other robot as he approached. He was shorter than she was, something she didn't often encounter. However his stature was of little concern to her. What did capture her interest though, was the escape of steam from his neck. Her screen lit up with a scientific diagram of how gills worked as it was the closest thing she could compare it to. Never before had she witnessed anything like this before, and she tilted her head to get a better view. 

But as the other began to speak, she quickly switched her screen to a blushing emoji; having realized her "staring" could be seen as rude. She privately recounted the times others had stared at her and how upset and defensive Miles got about it. Not wanting to disappoint him, she nodded along with what Ghosten had said and displayed an image of young and happy girl throwing snow into the air.

"I am Bet-E." She stuck her hand out in greeting. "It is a pleasure to meet you Ghosten. I believe I would likely enjoy participating in winter time activities with you. What activities did you have in mind?" She gestured towards the sidewalk and began walking. There was a park 4.25 blocks from this point. Research showed that parks were popular places for winter actives.

In the past, Winter had been a hard season for Ghosten, hopping from device to device, sometimes retreating to his original computer. Now that he had a body however, he grew excited, buzzing with energy as his pets dashed around the apartment. So many of them had been excited, waiting impatiently for the first snow so they could go out and play in it.

Cracking the window slightly to peer out at the falling snow, his bright LED irises shined blue against the dark of the rest of his eye. In all the excitement, he didn’t immediately notice Sek flying out into to city, buzzing something about winter. Wrenching the window the rest of the way open once he did notice, he looked around the sky frantically, hoping that his little mechanical friend hadn’t gotten lost in the flurry.

Sek made a brief clicking sound as he landed on the female robot’s screen. He made no move to answer, simply stretching his wings and flying a few inches away, fluttering near her head mischievously.

So distracted by looking around for his little beetle friend, it took Ghosten a minute to register that this new voice was talking to him. Looking down and spotting her and Sek, he let out the sound of a relieved sigh. “Hello!” He chimed, waving down as Glitch jumped up onto his shoulders to peer out too. “My apologies for my friend Miss. I have no idea what’s gotten into him… Must be all the excitement from the snow. Give me a second and I’ll be down to get him, okay?”

Not even waiting for a response, Ghosten made sure that he had warm clothes covering most of his chassis, a soft pair of gloves protecting the mechanics of his hands. Closing the window and carefully draping a scarf over his shoulder so that he didn’t block the vents on his neck, he rushed downstairs, followed by nearly all of his mechanical pets. He stopped in his tracks when he saw her, just now getting a good view of the other robot.

Eyes briefly flashing white as he nervously tried to process words, he vented a small hiss of steam out of the sides of his neck. Shifting a little on his feet, the diminutive robot reached a hand out for Sek to land on. “Sorry again about Sek. He gets excited pretty quickly. I’m Ghostenthemusheen, but most people just call me Ghosten… Umm, we were planning on playing in the snow for a bit. Would you like to join us?”

It was a crisp morning; the first snow of the season had fallen and left a thin dusting of white all along the ground. Lights lit up as Bet-E chirped with delight. A simple procession of notes danced out of her voicebox as she pressed her hands up against the glass. The cold always excited her; while she couldn’t necessarily feel anything, she could feel the difference that temperature had on her mechanics. Sure, it made things harder to function and, if she was out there in the cold for too long, it could get dangerous, but it was the closest she could get to feeling and it made her excited all the same. Within minutes, she was out and about, walking through the city streets with snow crunching beneath her feet. Not many humans were up this early, which meant the city was much quieter than was usual. But the rose gold robot didn’t mind. She found this time of day free of many of the distractions that plagued the modern world, and took her time to observe her surroundings more closely. She studied individual snowflakes as they fluttered down to the earth, and observed the fractals of frost that painted the apartment windows as she passed them by, or how the small trees lining the sidewalk bowed under the weight of the snow. So wrapped up in this winter wonderland, Bet-E almost didn’t notice a small clamor above her head. She looked up just in time to see a small beetle of sorts land on her screen. After a small camera refocus, it became apparent that the beetle was a kind of scarab in design, but no organic one by any means. Carefully, she plucked it off her screen and placed it in her hands. Her monitor flickered to a flashing green question mark. She had never seen anything quite like this. “Insect. Who are you?” She quietly asked the mechanical bug. Not receiving an answer, she looked around for it’s origin and spotted somebody leaning out an apartment window. The trajectory looked right, and with a bit of math she concluded that the mechanical insect must have come from there. She waved to get the person’s attention. “Hello?”

This is the first time I've been on tumblr in months and I'm not sure if anybody cares or what. I'm not sure what to do. The whole disappearing thing wasn't on purpose... it was more of a stress thing. I guess. I miss roleplaying, but I don't know if anybody wants to jump on that wagon again. Rubber raced along the pavement as a beat up car raced though the relatively empty streets. The night encompassed all but the light shed from the dim headlights and flickering streetlights. Quickly, the car swerved around a corner and down a back ally, bumping along with the puddles and potholes from the rain earlier. As it approached the back of a mechanic's shop, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop, and a tall, dark haired young man stumped out, rushing towards the trunk. 

"Come on, come on, come on... Bet-E! Don't do this to me!" Miles grunted as he pulled a metallic body out of the trunk, it's screen flashing with the message: [ DATA CORRUPTION ] Frantically, he dropped the robot by the open car door, allowing both the headlights and inside light to shed light on her exposed back, open ports and panels flickering rapidly. 

In a matter of seconds, the man left his robot's side and leapt into a nearby dumpster, pushing aside the used and broken parts, trying to find something that would help robotic girl.
