pain was never really a problem but the pain he was feeling in his ribs was unbearable. but the soothing touches of his girlfriend was definitely helping, at least mentally. a soft smile appeared on his lips as he looked up at her, “ you’re so good to me. “ he mumbled, he hated this, he wanted to be able to move around better and go do his runs, but he had to wait atleast a few days, he knew that.

Fingers softly combed through his messy, careful not to get caught on the tangles or knots in his chocolate brown hair. Combing his hair out of his face, whispering sweet nothings in the process. One of her long-sleeved shirts wrapped around his ribs tightly as a makeshift brace. Finally gathering enough courage to look down at his face which was resting on her thigh, the pain is written all over his face. She didn’t know how much pain he was in but to see him in pain, it killed her a little inside.
“M-Matty.” She whispered breathlessly to him, her other hand holding onto one of his for him to squeeze. Her dirty green irises locked onto his dark ones, he laid in her arms. Sybil had lost feeling in her legs about twenty minutes ago but she wasn’t going anywhere, not wanting to leave his side no matter what and she wouldn’t. As she tried to wrap her mind around, what actually happened to him on his run to God say something Bil. And thank God, it wasn’t a scratch or a bite. When her soothing voice came out of her mouth. “I got you, Matty.”

as he waited patiently matthew glanced around the room -- he had put this off for a day or two and he knew that probably wasn’t the smartest idea. once the doc was done with the other, matty cleared his throat and walked more into the room. “ i did this -- the other day and i tried not to bother you, but it hurts so fucking bad. “ the boy was almost in tears as he lifted up his shirt to expose his badly bruised ribs.
“I’m pretty sure that is just a splinter, your finger isn’t about to fall off.” Harlan said chuckling softly as he glanced at the person who had just entered the room. “I’m just finishing up here, then i’ll be right with you.” He said offering the person waiting a charming smile. Looking back at the patient, he pulled out his tweezers and got the tiny piece of wood out of their finger. “There, all done. You’ll be fine, just be a little more careful, ok?” He said with a bright smile, as they exited the room Carson turned to the new arrival. “What can I do for you?”
