In order to give me a holistic education during my time in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I had multiple modules that needed me to use creatives. From understanding how a design affects marketing and advertising, to sitting us in a room to mould us into aspiring designers, Mass Communication ensured us the best basis learning to know what it takes to be in the media industry.

During my time in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I was the Head of Marketing for Stage52, an events and production CCA. Part of my job was to create creatives to market the events that we planned.
Events such as Hair for Hope (in collaboration with the Children's Cancer Foundation), Scarefest, and an annual play (adaptations of local playwrights) were part of our expertise.
Applications used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects. (AE is self-taught)

Along with my team of five, we created different collaterals to market the play to the whole campus. From tickets to posters, to our own playbills, my team created it all. These were the items I designed for the event.

THREADLIGHTLY is the thrift store I started. We believe in optimal intersectionality. The aim of THREADLIGHTLY is to work towards making the world a lot more inclusive, a lot more positive. We want to make a change and we are thankful to have like-minded people supporting us all the way.
My main job scope besides handling finance, would be Social Media Managing and creating graphics for social media pages and adverts.
Currently, Threadlighly sits on the second floor of Queensway Shopping Centre. Although no longer non-profit, we still donate a portion of our sales every month to our chosen monthly beneficiary. Most recently, our beneficiaries have been The Project Hills, TwilightLOVE, ItsRainingRaincoats, and OogaChaga.
To learn more about the store, you may visit this page.
Applications used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and RoughAnimator, and Adobe Premier Pro
