I've been waiting for a couple months to get word on the next camping trip since the first one of the year used to be in February. The guy that owns the camp site finally got ahold of me. The next camping trip is the same weekend as my pistol/carbine course. The course is about 3 hours from the camp site so the earliest I can show up for camping is Saturday evening. It's not worth about an extra tank of gas just to hang out for a few hours then go to bed and break down camp after breakfast the next morning. Kind of a bummer since I've only been on one camping trip since covid, but I've never had a formal shooting class with real instructors before so that's kinda my priority here.

Ah the joys of "obsolete" tech. I had to pick up a couple of things. First I needed a new aux cable for the splitter in my truck. My phone doesn't have an aux port so I got a splitter that lets me use an aux cable as well as plugging in a charge cord so I can charge while I drive. They had only one aux cable left and it was tucked away in a corner. All kinds of interesting adapters like a direct USB-C to Aux cable but that's about it. I also needed a flash drive. Didn't matter the capacity so I just went with the cheapest I could find which was 64gb. To give an idea of how old I am back when I was in high school I don't think I ever saw one bigger than 4gb. The funny thing is that the store kept all their flash drives behind a counter in the tech dept and had to walk it up to the cashier for you. Apparently they think this is still 2008 where flash drives are a hot commodity. If anything I'd think the charge cords would be more likely stolen. They're small enough to slip into a pocket.

I like how in 2020 blue voters told me that a vote for Trump is a vote for fascism. A vote for a third party is a vote for fascism. Refusal to vote is a vote for fascism. Our only hope to save America from fascism is to vote for Biden.

And where did that lead us? To a bipartisan support for fascism anyway, to Biden personally signing a bill that's deliberately written in arbitrary language to allow it to be expanded. And in 6 months the vote blue no matter who crowd will delude themselves into thinking that this time they really WILL stop fascism.
