I found this thread on Twitter and it's so refreshing to know that Zutara fandom actually has strong allies.
Zuko - (my captain) Dante Basco
Katara - Mae Whitman
Sokka - Jack de Sena
Toph - Michaela Jill Murphy
Azula - Grey DeLisle

It's funny because this fact made me suddenly create a headcanon :
Of course Zuko and Katara shipping themselves, they fell in love with each other.
Then almost all the members of the Gaang except Aang (we don't know for sure about Suki) also ship Zutara because they know Zuko and Katara are secretly making out, while Aang denies it because well, you know why…
Sokka as Katara's brother approve their relationship!
Then Uncle Iroh, he must've ship Zutara since stubborn Zuko asked Katara to help him defeat Azula.
Uncle Iroh as father figure for Zuko definitely approve their relationship!
Azula shipped Zutara? She must've known that Katara meant a lot to Zuko, otherwise why would she direct the lightning at her? She know that either Katara would lose or Zuko would sacrifice himself for her.
I can say, that's the way Azula as Zuko's sister approve their relationship!
And the Cabbage Man. This time I didn't expect it. Maybe he really is a Zutara shipper. Maybe he was the one who told the Ember Island player director that the two of them had a special relationship? (I'm making things up this time) 😂😂
Okay, back to Zutara fandom who has strong allies from the ATLA writers too.
John O'Brian (the one who confirming that they talked about Zutara endgame in writing room)
Joshua Hamilton (the one who fight alongside John O'Brian to make Zutara endgame)
I'm sure the list won't end there
I also wont forget that Zutara fandom has great writers and artists with fanarts, fanfics, video edits, meta and analysis, etc., which makes Zutara never boring. Thanks to y'all 💙❤️

They changed the whole Kat/Aang moment in the cave of two lovers with Sokka and Katara
And added this unnecessary scene for Zutara
Then, who would have thought that Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani, the writer and director of the Omashu episode, would become the new ATLA showrunners?
With that fact, also the age gap between the actors, I wouldn't expect more my ship to be canon if I'm an other shipper.
I'm not saying Zutara will definitely be canon. I think, 'no romance ending' would be more make sense. But I have feeling they will give more crumbs for Zutara in the next two seasons. I can't wait!

Hey! So, I just need some help understanding something... I heard that people think that Zuko took Katara straight to Ember Island after TSR. I missed it on my rewatch, and I don't get where this interpretation comes from, and whether it is just a headcanon. Do you happen, by chance, to know more about that? I LOVE this tidbit by the way; I just don't know where it's coming from. Sorry if this is random.
Oh I’ve heard that before! From what I’ve seen, it’s based primarily on the visuals we see of the settings. Before leaving to find Yon Rha, everyone is camped out on this island:
It appears to be a small, uninhabited island (which makes sense if they’re in hiding) so clearly not Ember Island.
Then at the end, the final scene begins with Katara here:
This is definitely Zuko’s family home on Ember Island, with Katara sitting alone on the pier. In the second screenshot you can see Appa flying in.
Now here is the interesting part:
Zuko and Aang get off of Appa, and if you squint, it kind of looks like the others are in the saddle too. Based on the conversation that follows, it’s clear that this is the first time Aang has seen Katara since she left to confront Yon Rha.
So the implication here is that Zuko and Katara first went to Ember Island alone, then Zuko flew with Appa by himself to pick up everyone else from the other island. This actually makes a lot of sense logistically, because without Appa, everyone else had no way of getting to Ember Island from wherever they were before.
I really like this theory (and I think based on the evidence it’s pretty much canon) because it shows there are a lot of missing scenes between Zuko and Katara. It makes sense. He was the only one there to comfort her after something so traumatic. I love the idea that he thought to bring her to a place that was special to him, hoping to find her comfort. Then I’m guessing she wanted some alone time and he left her to go get the others.
I think it’s very sweet, to think about that time they spent together and what they talked about ❤️

I have same experience since I joined the fandom two or three years ago. That time, I wasn't as active as now to comments or posts Zutara content, because I read a lot of arguments from both fandom. There is a time I was tired to ship Zutara, I wasn't ready for bad comments and disagreements.
I need to prepare myself when I decided to active on Tumblr just a few months ago. I told myself that I must ready when other shipper start an argument with me and must respond them in healthy way. I tried my best.
Also, I always try to not start an argument in other shipper post. If I don't like it, I simply scroll the post or block them. That is why, when I really want to write my opinion or disagreement of other shipper opinion, I prefer to do that in my own platform. That is my way to respect their opinion but I can still express my thoughts. I don't know people would agree with me or not about this thing, but I can't force my opinion on other people.
We don't really know who started this mess, but obviously not all Zutara shipper in fault, some of them want to ship Zutara just for fun, some of them even afraid to express their thought, so actually the canon shipper made more traumatic comments than Zutara shipper.
All toxic shipper in all fandom who make shipping not fun anymore, not just one fandom side.
Sorry, but I feel like you ship Zukka just because Zutara is much better than canon and it threatens your ship.
Beside, even if Zutaran ship Zutara just for fun, canon shipper would still call us delulu, because it's Zuko and Katara. 'How about Aang if they're together', right?
We are ruining shipping experience for everyone? Really? There are a lot of artists mind their own business, upload Zutara fanarts for fun on their own social media, then the comment full of hate from canon shipper. Why?
Forget about headcanons. I think, every ships have headcanons, even Zukka. But what's wrong with metas and analysis?

I'm not saying that there are no toxic Zutara shippers, but other fandom have toxic shipper too. So, 'ruining shipping experience for everyone' is not just Zutara toxic shipper fault but also other fandom.
If you go to other social media platforms, you might find that there are many comments from other shippers in Zutaran's posts even though it's not talking about their ship at all, just shipping Zutara in peace. Doesn't that also make Zutara shipping experience ruined?
I made opinion about 'hate of Dante Basco' because I read myself the comments from other shipper (the toxic one) to him. It was bad and there was nothing to do with Zutara fandom, pure because he ship Zutara.
Beside, most of this post actually just saying that Zutaran not as delulu as they said, because even the VAs and writers ship them. Just it! I didn't even mean to attack the OP (because its post was fine, at least for me), I just want to express my own opinion and disagreement.

8. How have your opinions on A:TLA changed since you entered the fandom?
I think the biggest change for me since I entered the fandom has been about metas and analyses.
I watched the A:TLA when I was kid, so I just enjoyed it as a show. I even ship Zutara then only because they were look good together. When I entered the fandom, I just looking for fanarts, I never thought there would be a lot of metas and analyses.
I studied (my language) literature at University, I learned about literary criticism, plots and storylines, films, and everything related to that. That is why when I found out the A:TLA metas and analyses, I really interested with that, especially about Zutara.
I tried not to be bias and too subjective, so sometimes I read analyses from other A:TLA fandoms, but as someone who has studied literacy (I'm not an expert, though), I feel that analyses of Zutara is much more logic.

You can watch this analysis and you would understand what I mean.
Meanwhile, analyses from other fandoms are sometimes so forced that they can't convince me to agree with their opinions. For example, some people from other fandom think that Zutara like a siblings, Katara was a sister that Zuko has always hoped for.
But, if you watch Zutara moments again, can you imagine siblings would do these things?
I'm so sorry, but I can't imagine Sokka replaced Zuko or Azula replaced Katara in these scenes. So weird and cringe!
But still, everyone have right to share their thought. Sometimes, I was like, please convince me that your ship better than mine with your metas and analyses (I'm still not convinced, though).
Even if I disagree, I really appreciate other fandom opinions if it's on their own platform. It's waaay better than comment on fanon posts with such toxic behaviour.
Oh, and I really confused with some people in other fandom that hate Zutara fandom makes a lot of metas and analyses. Like, why? criticising stories is nothing new and Zutara have a lot of materials.
If Zutara have no materials, we might ship them and that's it. But, wouldn't a ship with thoughts be much more interesting and challenging?

Is Zutara other version of Dramione?
I used to be huge Harry Potter fan, I watched all the movies and read all the novels. I shipped Romione at that time, in fact Romione/Grintson was the reason I love Harry Potter series.
But, I don't mind with the idea of Dramione. I found it interesting, though. Once, I made a love triangle fanfic between Hermione, Ron, and Draco. I mean, who can blame the fans if Tom Felton played Draco Malfoy in that series?
The question here is, is Zutara another version of Dramione?
For the enemies to lovers trope, yes. But, that's it! Because there is huge differences between these pairs.
I'm pretty sure, people ship Dramione because of the actors. It doesn't make sense if the ship come from the characters or arcs. Because, Draco has no redemption arc. Also, Draco and Hermione never shows relationship development. They're enemies 'till the end of the series, or maybe not enemies in the very end of the movie, but not friends too.
In the original series, Draco isn't a complex character. He is a villain, raised to be a bully, racist, and coward. Compare with Saverus Snape, who has good and bad side, I don't remember Draco has good side in him. He might hesitate to kill Dumbledore, but that's because he's afraid and there's nothing to do with morality. Until final battle, he and his family run away from the battle like a cowards.
I never read Dramione fanfic, but I think the redemption arc and Draco's good side only happened in fanfic, which is fine, that's what fanfic for.
Now, let's talk about Zutara.
Zuko has the best redemption arc and it's canon. Even when he still villain, he has good side and morality. Zuko is a complex character, in fact he banished because he has good in him. He lost his way and find his destiny by himself.
This redemption arc makes the 'enemies to lovers' trope between Zuko and Katara make sense to be canon. People not only love this ship because they look good together, but also because of their storyline and relationship development. They build connection, saved each other lives, and complement each other in the battle. All of those are canon.
And I haven't even talked about their symbols (yin yang, fire water, sun moon), their parallels (blue spirit and painted lady, their childhood trauma, their closure), Omashu reincarnation, etc.
This is a big difference between Dramione and Zutara. In the show, Zutara has a lot of materials to be canon while Dramione has none at all.

In NATLA, Zuko is 17 and Katara is 14! Don't ship them because it's creepy to ship minor!
But, when Katara 17, Aang is still 15. When Katara 18, Aang is still 16. What the different?? Or, is that okay because they are Kat/Aang?
Oh, and friendly reminder that Katara actor is 17/18 and Aang actor is 14, but a lot of Kat/Aang shipper can't wait to see them kiss in the next season, like, excuse me, that's your argument to attack Zutara!
Is minor really a problem here? Because, I never see a comment about Katara and Jet moment!

7. What’s your favourite Zutara moment from the show?
I love all Zutara moments, because it shows development in every season. But, I would never forget how June being Zutara shipper in every appearances. This is my random thought! Very random thought!
June looked closely when Zuko showed Katara's necklace. Since she was from earth kingdom, she probably didn't know it was a betrothal necklace. But, very clear the necklace belong to a girl.
But, she was a bounty hunter, she worked for anyone who paid her, they could be from anywhere . So, there was possibility she learn about other nation cultural like betrothal necklace from Northern Water Tribe.
A prince using a (betrothal) necklace to looking a girl? (Maybe he made it for her, but she run away?) Well, the conclusion was, "What happened? Your girlfriend run off on you?"
And Zuko didn't deny it.
June was right, the necklace belong to a girl. A beautiful girl! “So this is your girlfriend. No wonder she left, she's way too pretty for you.”
And again, Zuko didn't deny it!
June didn't know what happened after that, but the Prince Pouty came again to her and now TOGETHER with the girl. Not only that, June saw Katara wore her necklace.
What sense situation except, "I see you worked things out with your girlfriend."
This time they denied it!
But, what a reaction if there was nothing between them?
Zuko never give a f*ck before every time June teased her with Katara, why he suddenly so shy and denied it? And Katara made the same reaction as she denied her relationship with Jet! Something fishy!!
And in the very same night after someone assumed that they were together, they slept like this! Remember, Aang was missing that time, no one knows where he was or was he okay. But, look at the little smile on Katara's face! I wonder, what were they talking about before they say good night?
