I'm in awe of how we ran historical revisionism on the civil rights movement so bad that people truly believe it was quiet self-sacrifcial non-disruptive christ-like activism that forced progress and not — like — the incredible economic pressure of boycotts and outbreaks of illegal civil disobedience
Yapping to the choir but eughhh it burns me up girl effective protests have to be loud and inconvenient for change to happen because silent cries die in the dark that's the entire pointtt

Clownfish can change from male to female. Humans aren't fish. Female to Male. Still two sexes. Still binary.
Female mimics exist in many bird species. It's a mating strategy. Key word mimic. Not change. Also it's males that mimic females to mate with the.. Again 2 sexes. Binary.
Swallowtail butterflies. Females can have 4 genotypes. 3 of which mimic more toxic species of butterfly. Males can not have this gene because it's double sexed. Nothing to do with trans or sex changing. Also, again, male and female. Binary.
Seahorses. The female deposits her ova into the males pouch where he fertilizes and incubates them. Unusual. And exception. Still male and female. One makes sperm the other eggs. Binary.
Hyenas. This is dumb. Males impregnate females and females give birth. Female genitals are shaped weird(ouch!!) Still male and female. Binary.
A skink species. Can change sex in the egg when exposed to hotter or cooler temps. Temperature being the sex determinator in many reptile species is well known. It's chromosomes in humans that determines sex and temperature in some reptiles. And it's in the egg. Before hatching. And again it's female to Male. Binary.
Another lizard. Female lizards ovaries got damaged and began developing male characteristics including rudimentary testes. Same thing happened in chickens. It's rare but happens. No sperm is produced no actual sex change. It's caused by a defect which causes hormonal changes.
Komodo dragon. Parthenosenesis. Boring happens all the time in some reptiles. Snakes too. The female creates fertile eggs without sperm that are basically her clones. Nothing to do with trans or sex change.
Jellyfish can be hermaphrodite. OK cool. Humans can't. Also weird hiw hermaphrodite are male and female. Binary. See a pattern?
Starfish. They can lose body parts that then grow new appendages that can be the opposite sex. Also groping around to find a mate because you have no eyes isn't "mating behavior". Same sex can't mate with each other. It's mate seeking behavior. Weird and super cool. Nothing to do with trans. Also binary sex.
Oysters. They can sex change. From male to female. They do this after mating. Swap from producing sperm to eggs. So do plants. Super cool. Also an example of binary sex.
Bass. Some fish species can change sex. From male to female. Super weird and cool. And binary. And humans aren't fish.
Banana slug. Hermaphrodite. Binary. Not human.
Another bird species where males mimic female coloring as a mating strategy to avoid attack by other males. Binary. Not trans.
Bird species exhibiting and abnormality that causes half the body to be female half to be male. Super cool. Not normal. Not trans. Not human. Also binary.
Another bird species where females with damaged or defective ovaries exhibit male characteristics. Boring. Not actually male. Binary.
More parthenogenesis in lizards. Only females can do this. Binary. Not trans.
Snails that can sex change and be hermaphrodite. Cool. Still binary and not humans.
None of the species in this article, or anywhere else on Earth, validate the nonsense that humans can change sex or that sex isn't binary.

On Thursday 18th of April this week the labour union for workers employed by the government in Sweden will go on strike; this includes for example all cleaners, food and kitchen staff in hospitals, care homes, and schools, laundry workers, transportation and delivery workers, daycare teachers, sterile unit and lab technicians, and assistant nurses and nurses in elderly care and in homes for disabled people, and all other nurses will go on strike on the 25th of April.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The union for all other healthcare workers will go on strike on the 25th of April, with the reason that the Swedish government has declared the introduction of higher workload, understaffing, less resources, and worse work shifts, saying that now that Sweden has joined NATO the expectations on all citizens to serve the country and perform more labour have increased.
Tumblr media
Some professions will go on a full-on strike, and some will simply have a stop on working overtime, working extra shifts and longer shifts, as well as a stop on all new hiring of new staff by the employers.
The main demands from the Union going on strike on the 18th of April are:
Salary raises will be paid out on time as soon as the agreement is settled, instead of being paid out retroactively 6 months late as they were last year. Workers should not have to lend the government their money.
Meetings for discussion of new salaries each year are mandatory, and should be officially documented.
New regulations on lengths of shifts for emergency workers such as ambulance staff and firefighters, as well as personal assistants and other professions with on-call duty.
The Swedish government has 3 days to meet these base requirements, before the discussions can continue for the new employer-employee collective contract for the upcoming years. If they don't agree in 3 days, we go on strike.
The union has not announced a strike like this of this size in over 20 years.

Sometimes I put my face up against my dog while he's sleeping to feel his little lungs expand and his little heart beat and I am struck by the beauty of of life and the miracle of nature to evolve for thousands of years just to create one little guy and put him in my house

Hey real quick, I wanna check out something. I've been talking to a few friends who live in a different country and they told me it's normal for houses to have bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms over there. (Not saying where.)
[Definition in case it's needed: an en-suite bathroom is a complete bathroom, with at least a toilet, a sink, and a shower, which is accessed directly from a bedroom and is usually only used by the people who sleep in that bedroom.]
So here's my question: in your country, in normal dwellings (i.e.: houses, flats, apartments, etc, not hotels and such), is it normal to have en-suite bathrooms?
As usual, reblog for reach, and tag with your country / area and yes or no.
