A Farm for the Future from Kromwell Gardens on Vimeo.
Wildlife film maker Rebecca Hosking investigates how to transform her family's farm in Devon into a low energy farm for the future, and discovers that nature holds the key.
With her father close to retirement, Rebecca returns to her family's wildlife-friendly farm in Devon, to become the next generation to farm the land. But last year's high fuel prices were a wake-up call for Rebecca. Realising that all food production in the UK is completely dependent on abundant cheap fossil fuel, particularly oil, she sets out to discover just how secure this oil supply is.
Alarmed by the answers, she explores ways of farming without using fossil fuel. With the help of pioneering farmers and growers, Rebecca learns that it is actually nature that holds the key to farming in a low-energy future.

VIVID by Montanus from MONTANUS on Vimeo.
Riding a bike is something special. It’s a way to have fun. Escape. It can provide time for inner reflection if you ride alone or it can be an experience shared with friends. Multi-day bikepacking trips give us the possibility to amplify all these aspects by spending more time outdoor. Every single trip is a series of unique moments that you preserve in your mind until you recall them. Maybe it’s over a beer with friends many years after. In November 2013 we planned to have a 2 day trip on the mountains of Abruzzo spending the night in a tiny mountain hut at 1900 meters above sea level. At that time we had no idea what the word ‘bikepacking’ meant and we rode 26” enduro bikes carrying camping paraphernalia into huge backpacks. That incredible adventure marked the birth of Montanus project. We decided to ride again that route on November 2021. 8 years later, the memory of that overnighter is still so vivid that it continues to feed the urge to explore wild and remote places.

Come on, Eileen! from anthony collins on Vimeo.
'Come on Eileen' is a short film telling the remarkable story of Coventry cyclist Eileen Sheridan who became a record breaking professional cyclist in the 1950's. Eileen now aged 90, gives a first hand account of her astonishing career, from early touring Club days to her famous rides as a professional which set a standard for generations of female cyclists to come. Rarely seen archive is combined with dramatic reconstruction to recreate her epic 1954 ride from Lands End to John O'Groats, a journey that pushed her to her absolute limits. Interviews with experts and contemporaries provide context and an insight into the times. Comedian Josie Long provides narration whilst Cycling writer Jude Brosnan plays the part of Eileen. The film is directed by Anthony Collins, a keen cyclist himself, he was drawn to Eileen’s story after reading her 1956 autobiography ‘Wonder Wheels’. Collins was given exclusive access to Eileen’s extensive stills archive from her golden years in the sport.
