Licentiate: 100% Rogue, for the sneakiness and poisoning. Struggling to think of a class which fits the more Katatox side though.

Monster-Hunter: A lot of the martial classes fit quite well, but I'd say primarily Fighter and Ranger.

Midnighter: Rogue again, obviously. You could maybe manage a midnighter Cleric, though – the shrine to Saint Joshua, and all that.

Silverer: Ranger or Warlock, depending on specialisation. Parabola is very feywild-y if you think about it

Correspondent: Wizard or Bard! The watchful/persuasive split. Artificer too, if you're going in a red science direction.

Crooked-Cross: Cleric or Bard. Honestly I'd love to see a Crooked-across Cleric subclass that'd be rad

Slightly shitty midgame strategies for lowering nightmares:

If your "A Name Signed With a Flourish" quality is 4 or 5, you have access to the Shuttered Palace, and you have a lot of prisoner's honey, you can accept a commission for a royal portrait and spam the second option on the storylet (the one that requires you to have honey to unlock it).

If you've already started the Labyrinth of Tigers and have access to the second coil, there's a storylet there about the Somnolent Hyaena that trades one point of nightmares for several points of wounds. DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE ROSTYGOLD. I did and I almost killed my main. Again.

If you have a Bottle of Greyfields 1868 First Sporing, you can use it to lower your nightmares.

If you have Mrs. Plenty's Carnival unlocked, one of the options in the refreshments tent allows you to sample spice wine. If you lose the 50% luck check, you gain scandal; if you win, it lowers your nightmares.

If you have Watchful between 105-190 and at minimum 3 levels of nightmares, you can wait for Sigmund Freud (Dr. Schlomo's) opportunity card to come around and take the third option. The higher your Watchful, the better your odds of succeeding. If your Watchful is too low without modifiers, once you get the card, click on it to activate its storylet, then go to your possessions tab and switch outfits. It won't kick you out of the storylet. I wouldn't recommend this one solely because it involves talking to Freud.
