it does more harm than good to prop up the myth of the ‘neurotypical’ who completes tasks cheerfully with no issues. this person is a capitalist fantasy. the more you define yourself in comparison to this myth the more you justify social structures staying the same with minor accommodations to the ‘exceptions’ and the continued pathologizing of discomfort under hostile conditions

In The Burnt City, I would really like to spend some time rummaging in the room behind the DDR machine, but I do still fairly frequently think about the Studio 8 trailer from The Drowned Man
Interesting that she interprets the fragmented plot as a frustration, rather than the thing drawing you back. Feels like that gives an insight into her own feelings instead.

i don't remember her seeming so weirdly dismissive when we were talking in person, and i definitely don't remember feeling as tormented as i have ended up sounding, but it's only a li'l space-filler piece and i do remember that i got a free ticket and a wonderful loop with omar's claude out of the deal so it's nice to know my brain has its priorities in order 🥰
