Some small things I drew today! The ears on every single one of these game me issues. I was going insane.

The biggest issue with drawing is having a cat that HATES when 100% of the attention isn't on her.

More Dandelion! I'm not entirely sure if I want to keep all of the details on his vines. I wanted to see what they looked like with thorns, but I'm not sure the thorns will stay. I didn't add the birthmark around his eye and the scars on his face! He's such a baby boy.

I spent a couple days not being able to draw due to my cat, and not being really inspired.

But last night I made some friends in onesies and a badass eye monster! My wife bought a few lore artbooks, some that they had as a kid that they learned to draw from, so I've been using those.

I MADE MY FIRST OC!!!! His name is Dandelion and he's an elf druid that was a science experiment gone wrong. He has two large flowers on the back of his shoulders where the vines are coming out of. I'm so happy with this. I never thought I'd be able to draw an OC before!

Sooooo I tried drawing my first person today. I think it turned out really well!

Angles continue to be the bane of my existence. I also can't draw snakes. I still love the Medusa, and the Tatzelwurm was a ton of fun!

I drew these last night! The owl turned out really good, but Asiago the goblin turned out silly. I was having issues with body shape. Anyways I have a goblin OC in the works and I can't wait to post him some more!

i love how cats use their little walnut brains to go, "hm. it appears mother is moving very quickly and carrying many things. i bet it would be very helpful if i got right in front of her feet. this will make everything work more smoothly and won't lead to mother almost launching herself down the stairs to avoid kicking me. i am so good at plans."

Today I did my very first freehand drawing! I used no reference or guide, just my imagination!

I'm getting better at cats!

I had no idea what I was doing with the face, but I like the big wide eyes.

I fixed him!! He's a wizard now!

Today I made a cat and a frog! I struggled with some angles on the cat, but it looks mostly cat shaped! With the frog, I didn't realize until I was darkening the lines that I forgot the little arches above the eyes, so my frog looks INCREDIBLY flat (iblove himb). Drawing is all about making mistakes and learning from them. I'm going to make so many mistakes while I learn to draw, and I can't let that get me down. Everything I make is something that would have never existed If I didn't draw it, no matter how good or bad it is. These mistakes are stepping stones to getting better 🥰

I decided to practice eyes and expressions!! My drawings from here in our will be paper and pencil.

I must say, I am incredibly thrilled with how this turned out. There is a nose in there, but that's because my wife stole it and drew it.

So my wife got me a few art books, and I drew a kraken!! I wasn't happy with it at first. But looking back at it, I like it. It's sloppy, but it's my first kraken and I'm going to get better!
