          There’s some slight embarrassment on his end. He’s getting a little heated about it. Could the coquette tell? His face was flushing now. Much to the point where he wants to move and look away. Yet... he doesn’t. 

          Instead he take a moment to let the other do whatever he wants.And although he doesn’t return the kiss right away, his eyes flicker as though they are trying to pin point something specific on Blair’s face. 

          The mute simply wants to concentrate. And, yet, he can’t. He knows he’s playing with fire with him, but... Oh for the love of Arceus... He leans back in.

          Hand taking the chin of the other, the mute goes back for another kiss. One more kiss. One that he would reciprocate. It’s not one that will take long. He just wants to know... He wants to know what if feels like... To ask for another one.

Green leans over, pressing a light hand on Red's hair && ruffling it. "You know, you don't have to do all the paperwork in one night." He grins at Red when the man looks up at him. "I brought dinner. Cubone helped carry the paper plates." Next to his feet, Cubone barks excitedly. (lets assume they're on better terms because I really wanted to send this)

          He’s thinking why. Why does Green have to bother him now? Now!? Of all things. The mute liked to do his work on his own. Besides, this paperwork for for the trip for Alola. He had to get this done. Oak said to get this done. Arceus he hates travelling, why did he let his rival talk him into this?

          Well, okay maybe he was. But still. The male is stubborn. A stack of paperwork he was given, then the stack of paperwork would be done. 

          He doesn’t even bother to look at Green. He just wants to finish this so his headache can go away.

A soft kiss to his forehead, another to his cheek, one more the bridge of his nose before the final one is placed so chaste and sweet to his lips. A gentle expression of her affection, the smile lingering so genuine against her lips as she squeezes his hands. "Happy birthday, Red."

          Her petite size knows no boundaries when it comes to him. Somehow she can manage, all on her own, to reach his forehead. And his cheek. And the bridge of his nose. She is still bold enough to reach for his lips, despite her frame. 

          And it doesn’t matter how small she is. She still has such an immense effect on him. His heart skips. His skin prickles. And for a moment he can feel his entire soul leave his body. 

          It’s a high. That’s what it is. He needs no drug to know what it feels like to be happy– to be in his own world. She is his world. She means so much to him. Her presence. Her everlasting love. Her acceptance. She never cast any judgement on him.

          The way she squeezed his hands only pulls him back into reality. It’s grounding almost. As though she won’t let him wander. 

She was wonderful.And she was everything he ever needed.

But he didn’t deserve her.

          Cheeks flushed from embarrassment, the mute leans slightly into her. He feels an overwhelming sense of guilt, and yet, at the same time, there is an even more overwhelming sense of need. So I'm curious. I understand Red is mute on this blog, however would he and/or has he ever spoken if needed? Or even something involuntary like a shout or cry when something happens? Clearly speech wouldn't be something he'd be fully used to and/or capable of due to the long term lack of use of it, but can he/would he still make sounds or noises given the situation?

Ayyyy. I have a lot to tell you my dear friendly anon. I will direct you to some links, but also explain. Mainly because I have yet to actually determine the source of his muteness.

1: Communication/Translation/ETC.

Quick note, the post I linked you to is actually a summary of previous posts. But first and foremost… to answer your first question: Red cannot physically speak. I go really into depth about it. But I honestly have yet to give a reason why. Mainly because I saw a really good fanart of Red where you can actually see why can doesn’t speak. ( has to do with scars tbh ). So while I cannot give you an exact event, I can tell you that there is something wrong with his vocal cords. Like he just cannot talk– simply put. But I mean, he does have a translator!! That is also linked on the above link as well. But essentially his translator ( espeon ) projects his thoughts a little like text-to-speech would but its not robotic. Now, what’s unique about his translator is that she project his voice. Or rather what his voice would have been if his vocal cords were not broken. I have that HC here for you.

Again, I probably wont go into further explanation because I already have before, just follow the links. There are a lot. but I’ll make it easy for you here too.

2: The answers to your questions

Has he ever spoken if needed? Yes – through his translator. But only when he has nothing else to use. It is his LAST resort.

Or even something involuntary like a shout or cry when something happens? Not really? He takes everything internally anyway, but you won’t hear a scream from him. And his cries are actually really quiet. 

Can he/would he still make sounds or noises given the situation?Give his nature, he probably wouldn’t. He still laughs and cries and whatnot. But as I have said they are really quiet. They are definitely not obnoxiously loud or anything. You wouldn’t hear it in a crowded room or somewhere where there is a lot of noise. But if you happened to get him alone and listen really carefully, you can hear him. his laughs ( when he does cause they are rare to begin with ) are a little louder than his cries. His cries are a little muffled mainly because he wants to hide them anyway. And then when it comes to coughing or something of that sorts, its ( again ) rather quiet.

Green's ears are bright red - the only sign of his embarrassment. Carefully, he hands over a well-swaddled egg, unwilling to speak for fear of his voice cracking. It's obviously a birthday present.

          Crimson eyes watch, no stare, at the other. By the looks of it, his rival seems to be embarrassed. Well, that’s odd. Since when did Green ever do that. Maybe he had changed for the better. Who knew. But this was slightly unsettling for the mute.

          It was then that he noticed the egg. Oh. Well It was just an egg. Red knew he was a Breeder. Green knew that Red knew he was a Breeder. So why get embarrassed. Or… was this because of his birthday? 

          Okay, That could have been it. But the other knew that Red hated his birthday. He had no time for silly things like this. So was that a reason for being so embarrassed? Or maybe it was the fact that he was nervous that the mute would turn down the egg. After all, he was so very picky about his pokemon…. 

Oh for the love of Mew, it really didn’t matter. Perhaps later he could poke fun of him for turning so red.

          He heaves a sigh before taking the egg from the other. Okay, fine. Maybe, just maybe, he would show some sign of gratitude. His eyes would flicker back towards him for just a second to show the appreciation. But they would soon turn back to their cold demeanour as he began to walk away. Most likely to find his Vulpix of Arcanine.

 Dile here with one of everybodies favourites I suppose. This is definitely an independent Champion Red from the Pokemon games. He’s a bit different than the usual as he is slightly canon divergent, but it doesn’t mean that he ain’t the real deal. For the most part he sulks on a cold mountain, but he definitely isn’t glued there !! Any interactions are totally welcome. Have an OC, no problem. Have a character from another fandom, no problem. Kind of a reiteration from this post here, but also just a bit of a sum up of what Red has in regards to pokemon. This is probably going to have some pokemon in the future that I WILL be writing drabbles for.

He definitely has had more than mentioned, but as I have said before, he doesn’t really have a pokemon to have it. He needs to bond with the pokemon and its personality. he’s released many of his pokemon due to the fact that he just personally wants the best for them and believes that being with him wouldn’t be the best for them.

Because of this ( with him releasing so many pokemon ), it actually wouldn’t be strange if a “wild” pokemon would be friendly toward him. After all, he genuinely is a good person to pokemon and actually treats them equivalent to himself or higher.
