For just $269.00 Cream Ivory 1957 Motorola Model MK-56H Turbine Vintage Tube AM Radio Collectors Favorite! DESCRIPTION: This amazing antique radio in ivory is a classic and very collectible. This was a Canadian model. I cannot tell the difference inside or out between US model. The cabinet is factory original urea plastic which is a hard inflexible plastic that predates polycarbonate plastics found everywhere today. The condition of this particular cabinet is good. There is a hairline crack that goes around the perimeter of the bottom. The nose cone has been damaged. This type of cabinet was very susceptible to heat cracks along the top. This is one of the rare Motorola turbines without the crack. This vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Motorola in 1957 in excellent+ working condition. This design is called the turbine radio for obvious reasons. The clear cone is shiny and original and securely attached. The clear plastic cone has stress fractures. Please review photographs carefully. This cone is very fragile and are very often damaged. Original factory molded color not painted. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Nice deep rich tone. This radio is over 50 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The Motorola "M" shows tarnish which is usual for this age of radio, but still looks good. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The golden tuning dial does have several scratches due to wear and tear. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set ha...

For just $819.00 Ranger Red and White Vintage 1956 Olympic Model 552 Tube AM Radio Totally Sick! DESCRIPTION: Absolutely superlative design in so many ways! Very unique and instantly memorable with elegant use of contrasting colors. Reminds me of an innocent period in 1956 American psyche after Deco but before Sputnik like a humongous 1957 Mercury Monterey. Akin to its automotive brethren, this radio makes irreverent use of bold colors on an otherwise staid concept of geometric shapes, oblique angles, and masculine proportions. It's as if designers wanted to be free of past stodginess, but was lacking creative inspiration, and was not yet focused on everything outer space with Sputnik. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Olympic in 1956-57 time frame in excellent+ condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no chips, or major scratches. Original factory molded colors. No repaints. No oversprays. None needed.
