Who made those LoZ crystals you got?
Sorry it took me a while to see this.  I never bothered to look at the mail icon.   It was a store on Etsy that did it.  They have since changed their design to match closer to the 3DS version though.https://www.etsy.com/shop/NappinKraken?ref=l2-shop-info-name

Finally the Goron Ruby.   It wasn't expensive either.  About 50$ for the whole set after shipping.

Pokémon: Past to Present. Why gen wars happen, and my thoughts on X and Y
Hey everyone, how's it going? So with the recent announcement of Pokémon X and Y I decided to jump on the band wagon and give my two sense about the whole thing.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am what they call a Genwunner, but before you all shun me, unfollow me and shoot me in the ass for not being a "true Pokémon fan", here me out.
Yeah, I like generation one best, closely followed by generation two, but that doesn't mean I hate the sequels.   In no way do I hate them - in fact I really enjoyed Black and White quite a bit; Serperior is a beast.  I played through all of them and gave them all their due, but I just find that they lack that certain something that the older gens had.  However that certain something that they lack is probably what is called "Nostalgia".
People are funny.  From what I have seen all my years growing up, people tend to gravitate to what they knew first.  Nostalgia can give people a bias because the magic of memory can touch more then just your mind.  It gets into your heart and grows on you.  Suddenly everything will pale in comparison to it-- even if in a technical stand point, the newer game is better.
Gen Wars are a silly thing to me, but this is why I believe they happen:  People who came into the series later will gravitate to the newer games, and when they go back to play the older ones, will see the improvements the new games had, plus the added bonus of Nostalgia giving them a bias to the new games.
This makes them argue that new gens are better.  Older gamers will have played the old games, and the music will seem too modern in the new games or the Pokémon will be too weird looking to them.  (I'm looking at you Mr.Garbage-bag and you Mrs.Ice-cream-cone, and yes even you Ms.Chandelier)
This doesn't mean the newer games are worse. It only means that the game isn't the exact same as before, and as with any changes that are made or added to anything, people are gonna complain.  Not everyone likes change.  Youtube and Facebook are notorious for doing this to us, and I am sure quite a few of you hated or even still hate the changes that were and are constantly being made to these sites.   It's our nature to like the things we know, and though some people are open to change, not everyone welcomes it as easily as others.
One could argue that a newer Pokémon fan going back to Red and Blue for the first time could play through the game and think the Pokémon don't have very good sprites. The music could be too 8 bit and simple. And, as the same complaint from first genners about the new Pokémon: They're too weird looking. (Electrode anyone? If a living chandelier is weird then how come a living pokéball isn't? How about Magniton? That's a living magnet. Or even Ditto and Muk.  Garbodor is a living garbage bag but Muk is living sludge.  Ditto is a blob of play dough basically.)
This is what I mean by nostalgia being the reason for the gen wars.   My stance on it is simply I have preference but I enjoy the whole series and I eagerly await Pokémon X and Y.
Speaking of which, I can't wait to see what Fennikin evolves into.  I am hoping it wont be another Fire/Fighting type and I echo a lot of the statements made about it.  I tend to pick the fire starters first with a few exceptions being Chikorita and Pilplup and Snivy.  Fennikin will be no different, though if not for that Chespin was a close second.
So I leave you all with a final question.  What will your starter be for X and Y?  What are you hoping for hoping for? Let me know.

Here I am.. Ok what's next?
So yeah..  Hi everyone who was bored enough to come and see what this is all about.  I guess for those who don't know me, I should start off with telling you a little about my self.
The name's Mal but everyone around here calls me Kaya.  I have been a gamer for 26 years and I live in the beautiful city of Niagara Falls.  I have been mulling over the idea of starting a gamer blog for a while now, but I guess what finally got me to do it was the fact that I recently find my self posting on facebook quite a bit more often than usual, and figured it would be more productive to concentrate it all into one area for your reading and viewing pleasure.
My posts may be sporadic but what I hope to share with you all, is my opinion on video games; Where they are headed and where I want them to go. Good(This is subjective) game music, and updates on games I am currently playing through (be them new to me or my 1000th play through) and otherwise, just general thoughts and ideas that come to me, along with the occasional picture or video if I feel I HAVE to share it with the world.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the nostalgia, and thanks again for reading.
-Kaya
