We really should thank all the people involved in making this album, the video and so on, for keeping everything a secret. I know we’re all dying to know everything. But to be honest, it brings Taylor so much joy to have us guessing, I’m so happy for her. I love the way she’s playing us. This connection between us and her is something so special. So rare. She’s so iconic for doing this. 💖

And then there were three…

What Taylor Secretmonger Swift basically said in her Hits Radio UK interview was: Swifties think they understand the video, but they do not have a clue at all. They are awful detectives but I love them anyway.

I wish I had some real swiftie friends. I feel like nobody understands myself as much as a swiftie does.

I feel exactly the same. Like I‘m sorry I don’t post online a lot. & I‘m sorry I‘m too shy for posting pictures of myself all the time. & I‘m sorry for feeling too small for always reposting & promoting my posts so Taylor gets to notice them. I know it‘s not her fault at all. I know there is no better way to handle this. But it feels like you‘re a bit left out if you don’t want to reveal your whole life to tumblr or instagram or whatever social media platform. Honstely I would love to show my life to Taylor & to tell her how much I love her. But I don’t want people I know to see it. I wouldn’t feel well with that.

I know that people are probably gonna give me shit for this but I’m doing it anyway:

I’m actually super disappointed that Taylor said essentially the most “extra” fans “will be rewarded”. I’ll preface this with saying I don’t think she meant anything bad by it because she wants to see fun posts online. So lemme unpack this a little bit.

For starters, as I’ve been saying over and over-what Taylor sees on her dash are what people who have a follow put on her dash. So if that is their same posts over and over again, it’ll make it seem like only those people being presented to Taylor are the dedicated fans, when in reality a lotttt of other people on here have meaningful or quality content to share with her that never gets to her. And yes, some people with a follow reblog other people’s stuff. But you’re ten times more likely to get reblogged if 1. You’re a primarily English speaker, 2. You have a ton of followers, 3. You’re able-bodied, 4. You’re cis, and 5. You’re white. So if you fall outside of even one of these categories it puts you at a disadvantage.

On top of that, now that merch has come out, there’s going to be fans that have the ability to buy a lot of merch and wear it and take pictures with it and many others who literally can’t afford it (whether it be due to raw price or international shipping). Again, makes it seem like the people with more money are more dedicated than people without merch.

The fact that Taylor said that line in her Instagram story just encourages people to clog her dash with themselves to portray themselves as being somehow more dedicated than the rest of us and it’s frankly fucked up. And yes, I KNOW getting noticed is not the sole purpose of being on here. But that doesn’t mean Taylor being online isn’t meaningful. And yes, I know people still get to meet her without notices. But the day to day notices or likes or reblogs follow what I said above. And it’s sad.

I just want to call on everyone (esp people with Taylor follows) to just reblog ONE post that is not their own or their friends every time they post something of their own. 1:1 ratio. That’s it. Nothing insane. I guarantee you if more people did stuff like this that it would bring some more diversity to Taylor’s dash. And I want to call on @taylorswift to recognize that this is an issue across social media platforms that she’s on and realize that expanding beyond her follower list is so important.

Ok so what if the Album title (or the title of the next single) has something to do something with unicorns?

She‘s sitting on one & she‘s wearing earrings. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
