Hey Folks. There comes a time in every artists career where they burn out. The weight of the world comes crashing in. The camels back is broken. The is no more gas in the metaphorical tank. This is nearly inevitable in this day and age and it is an upsetting thing to go through. When this time comes it is important for said artist to take a step back and reevaluate why they were doing what they were doing. To stop and take in the view from right where they are and halt the forward advance.
For me, this time is now. I have been struggling over the last few weeks with reading new shows. Blowing off responsibility and taking the easy way out. I am at a point where reading a show, something I used to love to do and the reason I started this project, is no longer an enjoyable task but rather a chore that I feel obligated to do. Like if I don’t do it there will be some otherworldly consequence, but there won’t be. This blog was made for my enjoyment and is meant to house things I enjoy, so for now I will be taking a break. There is no way to know how long this break is other that to wait for it to end.
I would like to think back on the shows I have read and the time I had while reading them. I have read 51 works of literature in 51 days. That is probably more than I read in the last 2 years combined. I have learned more and discovered new things. I have grown. This break is not something I am ashamed of but rather something I plan on embracing, as we all should.
So, until next time.

This was fine until I found out all of the characters were played by a white women.
There are male characters, which is whatever
but there are also character of color which I'm almost sure made the one actor do blackface which we do not support here so wtf

Day Forty One
The Misantrope by Molière
So to make a long story short I was meant to read this for class but we just had a campus wide power outage and my access to the script is null.
But in my brief knowledge it is Molière making fun of french royalty as he should
