find me on ao3 - https://archiveofourown.org/users/rereremu/pseuds/rereremu hello :) call me 'rei' (like reef) or 'mur' (like murmur). i write, occasionally draw, and like the AC franchise a normal amount
Heya! It's been a while since you were active, i was wondering if everything's ok?
Also, i just binge read "and you say you're alone", and was wondering if you have any plans to update it soon? If circunstances allow of course.
First of all—thank you so much for liking my fic so much that you contacted me personally? 🥹 I got this message a few days ago and I’ve been freaking out over how to respond cause like—
I’m actually halfway through the next chapter (I think it’s chapter 14) but life kinda hit me in the balls?? I’m a nursing student, so last semester really just sucked 😭 and then my personal life got suuuuper messy (classic ao3 author stuff) but I really wanna finish the fic this year! This year or the next—I’m not abandoning it, I’m just..,. Busy and also have a huge fear that my writing style isn’t at all up to par for the things I want to achieve 😭
I’m so glad you like my fic though and thank you for reaching out!!!!! ❤️ it means a lot and I’ve been writing some other AC stuff on the side (mostly Desmond-centric because he’s literally The Man Of All Time) so hopefully during February or March I’ll be able to post more.
Not to toot my own horn here, but I feel like Assassin's Creed fan artists don't get enough credit. There's at least 5 separate characters you're trying to draw in a way that makes them unique and recognizable but they all look like this.
This is kind of a headcanon for me. Tazim son of Malik is mentioned in The secret crusade, but not as an important character. My headcanon is that he grew very attached to Altair, who became not only his Master but also a second father for him. Altair from his part considered Tazim his son and he saw both Malik and Sef in him. So when they worked together, Tazim always brought happy memories to Altair’s mind. :)
HCs dose of the week: stuff Desmond did for work during his runaway years
seasonal jobs depending on the city he was in before he made it to NYC, possibly cashier work in tourist attractions cus he was good with numbers and people;
street busking, he's handsome and i know he has a good singing voice;
your average customer service clerk on chain stores, like Virgin or Blockbuster;
a quick jaunt helping organize and carry inventory for a local store which led him to get recommended for,
working inventory on a logistics warehouse, meaning that Desmond Miles is in fact, forklift certified;
odd jobs as he was recommended to by friends and colleagues, anything from running mail to small fix-ups around the house;
outsourced custodian work for an apartment complex, which was the most chill work he ever had if you ask him;
stagehand for a local indie music scene, mingling with goths, metalheads and punks. he mostly did electricity and light directing, but on occasion, he did stage management;
a longer-than-expected period at a mechanic's workshop, got a taste for tuning up cars and bikes there;
food industry, maybe a prep cook or waiter on a smaller restaurant. not fast food though;
and of course, front bartender on high-end bars like Bad Weather.
