I have another similar question and I'd be interested in you/your followers' takes: A store I frequent has items outside their actual shops, for display to attract shoppers ig. R those items tagged somehow? No alarm sounds when I take an item and go inside, obvs... So what would happen if, say, I took that item and some more into the changing rooms and well, I accīdēntãlly forgot to return it before leaving the shop without buying anything? Would an alarm go off?

i dont think so!! towers work both ways, ive definitely walked into a store without having lifted anything and the towers have gone off! so i think ur good :)

A store chain I'd like to shõp ãt has no tags on their items and so far I've had no problem cõllëctīng small pieces (jewellery). But in their changing rooms there are stickers that say "All items are secured invisibly and deactivated after purchasing".

Does that mean anything?

i dont THINK so. i believe it’s a scare tactic! one way that you can test this is by walking past the entrance while still “shopping” aka holding an item on a hanger in plain sight. then drop one of your belongings and try to make it fall outside of the store, maybe something that can roll? like a lipgloss!!! simply leave the store to get your item and come back in. if the towers go off, it’s tagged. if they don’t, it’s a lie! and if they do go off and a worker sees you just be like oops sorry i was just grabbing my lipgloss! hope this helps <33
