animal crossing: new leaf | ♡ some of my favorite furniture
#i love acnh but it was a really strange choice imo to remove some of the cutest furniture that had been in previous games#despite the emphasis on customising and decorating your island#and not bringing back the different exteriors you could have in new leaf#i just know the princess furniture set and mermaid exterior would look incredible on my island#like i can change the whole map of my island but I can't have a house exterior that's not boring and plain??

I really wish rocket would leave my acnl town. not just bc she's a gorilla (the gorilla models are so unfortunate) or bc she looks like a sex toy, but bc she parked her house right next to mine and I have a specific villager area a bit further away that every other one of my villagers built their house in.
#the 3ds servers shutting down brought me back to new leaf#and I had forgotten about how the villagers just build their houses close to yours in this game#which is cute and all but I also specifically chose the spot where I did put my house bc i wanted a lot of space around it#she was one of the first move ins to my new town and just refuses to leave despite villagers who moved in after her leaving#just why

I mean it’s true that some employers see you as less professional if you don’t wear makeup, but it’s not all employers in all industries and I think it’s unhelpful to scare young women into believing that makeup is 100% mandatory to get ahead in the workplace. There’s a fair chance your boss won’t give a shit, or will be afraid of you kicking up a legal fuss. None of my female colleagues wear makeup. Nobody cares. Everyone still asks us for our advice. We’re not getting fired or denied promotions for getting old or not being hot.
I think a good approach is to stop wearing makeup at your job and see what happens. If it’s a problem, someone will let you know (and you can consider if that’s something you’re willing to put up with in a workplace, no judgment either way). If it’s not an issue and nobody says anything, then good. Just keep being yourself.
