Bad attempt at hitting on people - Khairan opens up a packet of Love Hearts, and hands one each to everyone present. Including Tong and the guards near Anduin. He's bad at this. Really bad.
Left seems to find the caption on hers (yellow, near the middle) highly amusing; Right insists it's an anomaly and not an actual order. Right's is just as odd (olive green, far bottom right)

What is the most embarrassing thing Wrathion has done in front of you two - or to one of you?
*glances over at Wrathion; receives a grumbling nod, then grins wolfishly*
I always thought it was fairly embarrassing for him when he managed to get stuck in a tree. He claims it was because he was concerned the breeze ("Gale, Left!" he interrupts) ...ah, the gale would throw him into the branches and pierce his wing. But, in truth, it is simply because he was afraid.

I signed on to be your bodyguard, not a babysitter. But if you insist.
Right, you can take care of it. Along with that human baby that still nobody has come to collect. It’s ridiculous. This place is supposed to be a secret haven for powerful heroes, not a nursery!

"Uh, yeah, 'cos it's useful. But I don't think that leg's much use to you right now, right?"
Caelan stares flatly. “If you’re so sure you’re uncorrupted, why are you afraid. If there’s no Old God taint in your body, then it won’t touch you. If there is, then it needs to be removed anyway.” They nudges him gently with their elbow. “Maybe it’ll take that rotten leg off and that’ll be all. I bet you won’t miss it, ey?”

"I…." He paused, looking up at them. "….It does?" Slowly, he raised his head, staring at them.
"….Your Prince would never go for that. He seems to want me dead. He DID allow you to break my leg, after all…"

"He actually wants you alive. Which I believe Feridun's told you. Several times. But he wants you alive. Not whatever you become when you're corrupted."
"You know," Caelan comments conversationally, "they say the Light helps keep Old God corruption at bay."

"You missed out the part where his very existence is predicated on years of research to determine that, yes, all of you are corrupted. If you weren’t, then his creation would have been unnecessary.” Caelan rolls their eyes. “I’m not asking you to give His Majesty the benefit of the doubt, but you must admit that it’s not like the Red Dragonflight to resort to using machinery like the stuff we’re going to see unless it’s absolutely necessary.”

Caelan shrugs. “So were the children that starved to death under your mother’s tax regimes. People like to act lofty about it, His Majesty included. But in the end, it’s dying pups and angry parents. It always is.”

"It’s a good reason to the countless mortals you’ve endangered or killed." They shrugs. "You do realise your mother was raping the king and abusing his son for ten years, right? She sorta had it coming. The rest of your flight was hardly better."

"I just meant whoever took care of you. I know how not having a family works." They scratches absently at the ground with their back paw. "Most of us do. At least you know yours was taken away for a good reason."

He should still have the beacon the timewalkers gave him when we travelled to the Isle. Do you want to come with me into the timeways to retrieve him? *she looks at him* I'm sure there'll be something in it for the both of you, even if His Majesty doesn't have a famous father to reward you.
*holds the blanket up to Peppercorn so he can sniff it, jumps when Peppercorn leaps of his shoulder almost immediately and bolts out the door*
Looks like he found somethin’.*races after the porcupine*

*Right follows closely, Left apparently staying behind*
Well, he disappeared in a warp of greyface magic this morning. It’s dark now, and we’ve still not even a single lead on where he went. Do you think Peppercorn might be able to succeed where we, well. Haven’t? I’m not sure His Majesty will be particularly bothered by what method he’s found as long as he is found.

"Do you know how to treat illnesses? Or do your caretakers normally do it?" Their tone isn’t as sharp and demanding as their blunt wording would imply.

Of course. He scent-marks just about everything given the chance. *she smiles placidly and produces a ratty-looking blanket without comment*
